Samson

Needing a home !

Samson is a two and a half year old staffordshire cross.

Although he looks part Pit Bull the police have decided that he isn’t a Pit ”type’ and can now be rehomed.

5 yr old greyhound needing home

URGENT

My son helped out a friend who had a 5 year old greyhound bitch who was
expecting pups. The puppies are now due to go to their new owners and the
‘friend’ doesn’t want the bitch back! My son has several dogs and breeds
terriers himself, but the bitch doesn’t get on with some of his dogs, so he is
unable to keep her.
She is calm and loving to people and loves children but not all other dogs and
not cats. She is great on the lead and doesn’t eat a lot either. All she
really needs is a warm place to sleep and an occasional walk on the lead.
My son really can’t keep her after next weekend as he is having to keep her
chained so she won’t cause another fight – she already has a wound in her side
where one of the others retaliated.
Please can someone give her a chance – she would repay you with lots of love and
affection!
Please contact me on 07803 965652

Thank you for reading this, and hopefully someone will be moved to give her the
home she deserves
Regards
Teresa

Alfie

progress update: 15th June 09

Alfie has now found a home !!!

Alfie is a 4 year old JRT cross.
He was rehomed due to previous family getting a puppy and not wanting
him anymore. He then went to another home which was incapable of
looking after him.

Alfie loves the company of other dogs when he gets used to them, and
would prefer a quiet home without younger children.
He can be a little protective over food and treats but this isn’t a
problem when managed. He is a lovely cuddly boy who loves regular
walks and exercise.

Kim and Sheba

A big “Thank you!” to Ann who fostered Kim and Sheba.

They went to her terrified to get within touching distance of people and who

( after Ann had spent hours just sitting in a chair by them)

changed into confident, sociable dogs before going  new homes.

Kim and Sheba have both now found homes !!

We have never been out of a shed before and today for the first time
we went in a car.
After a while we looked out of the window and there was so much to look at.
When we arrived at the rescue we couldn’t believe it the door was open and we went into the sun.
We are not sure what to make of all this and are staying away from Helen and running
and hiding in our bed.
We heard her say that we will soon learn that life has improved and to be stroked and cuddled.
Bracken has already got into the cuddling thing.
Clive is ok and we quite like playing with him, he says there is a whole new world out there for us to discover.
It is so nice to stretch our legs and to run up and down outside.
We have never slept on blankets before and they are extremely comfortable and
there is also a heater on in our room at night !!
This is all very new to us.
