Billy

Hello everyone, my name’s Billy and I need your help. I’m currently living with a very nice foster carer, but soon she’ll be going away and I need to find somewhere new to live. Oldies Club say they will pay for all my veterinary bills if I can just find a quiet place to stay for the rest of my days.

I need an experienced person who doesn’t have any children or other pets and can offer me a quiet and stable home environment. I know this sounds a lot to ask, but I can offer you a lot of love and loyalty in return. I’m obedient, good on the lead, and great in the car, but I just need a little while to learn to trust people. I have a bad back you see, and although I’m on medication for this, I can be a little protective of it.

I get scared sometimes when people rush up, or loom over me and I have nipped in the past to defend myself. My foster Mum says I’m a really sweet and loving boy, but I just need a calm, sensible home where I can have my own space and not have people trying to pick me up or push me around. Oh..and I’m nervous of the vets too so I need to be muzzled during a visit.

If you’re looking for an undemanding doggie companion and think you have the sort of home I need, please read a bit more about me, here, and then contact Oldies Club as follows;

VERY URGENT- 30 Ponies in danger of slaughter (UK) – needing placements or homes before 19th December – please help!

On 5th December over 100 Welsh Mountain ponies ranging from this years foals to 2 year olds were auctioned at Conway, N Wales.
67 of the ponies were not sold and originally an agreement was made by the breeder to sell them at £3 each to the meatman.
They were to be collected on Monday 7th December.
The Meatman didn’t turn up and we have a short window of opportunity to get these ponies into homes or into sanctuaries.
There are currently 30 who have not got anywhere to go and the farmer has extended the time we have to place them to 19th December.
The ponies are unhandled.
The ponies are subject to a deposition order and have to be microchipped for passporting at a cost of £15.00 each before we can move them.
What we need is homes or placements (even if this is temporary) for the ponies,
help with transport and funds to cover the microchipping, gelding and passporting.

Poppy

POPPY NEEDS A HOME !

Poppy is a 3 year old American Bulldog girl who is seeking a new home.
She comes from a loving home where circumstances have changed and they can no longer have pets.
She has been spayed and has a full medical history with a vet local in Bournemouth.
At the moment she is living in a foster home where she has the company of other dogs.
She gets on very well with dogs of all breeds. She also gets on well with children and the home where she originally came from had a 6 year old girl.
Although she occasionally barks at some strangers, it is because she will form a very strong and loving bond with the person who gives her love and does so to protect.
The folks at the foster home, where she has been for 3 months, say that it is definitely “all bark and no bite”.
Over the two and a half years that they have known her, she has never been a problem.
Poppy loves to run and play – happy just to run and explore but loves balls and sticks.
She is very good off the lead and will come when called by the person she relates to.
She’s getting better on the lead but needs more lead training as she never got this at home.
Poppy is a stong solid dog but will roll over like a puppy to have her tummy rubbed and she is VERY happy to be stroked and cuddled. She has a great personality and anyone who gives her lots of  “Love and Affection” will get it back in bundles!!

If you can provide a good home please contact
