MINTY HAS NOW BEEN REHOMED !

Here is Minty having a bath she was so good bless her
\nshe is doing well with going outside in the garden.
\nShe goes out without me sometimes and does her wee so she has come on well with that.
\nBut she still needs a little more training, but I can see her being with other dogs
\ndoes help her a lot and gives her the confidence she needs,
\npreferably she would do better in a home with other dogs.<\/p>\n

progress update on Minty from Becky: 9th Apr 09<\/strong><\/p>\n

\nHi Helen,
\nMinty is becoming more and more confident every day.
\nLast night I was sitting on the sofa and she came up for a cuddle.
\nShe was a bit tense but once I started stroking her I could feel on her back she
\nwas starting to relax.
\nOnce she did she fell asleep on me bless her,
\nit takes a while for minty to trust someone and I’m so glad she can
\ntrust me.
\nIn the mornings she is so happy to see me she gets out of her
\nbed very excited wagging her tail wanting loads of fuss.
\nShe comes out of her bed now when I call her,
\nI’m so happy that she is coming on so well,
\nbut there is a few things she still has issues with like some loud noises,
\nand going out in the garden, still a little nervous,
\nbut with more encouragement she will get better with it.

Hi Helen,
\nHere are a few more pics for you:
\nMinty is becoming more confident with my 2 kids now she is doing well she is more relaxed bless her
\nShe is such a beautiful and\u00a0lovely dog, as you know she can still be nervous around new\u00a0people,<\/p>\n

I had a few friends come over today with their kids and Minty was curious but weary\u00a0and went up
\nto sniff their hands she is getting there slowly.
\nShe is still nervous about going into the garden but gets a little better every
\nday.<\/p>\n

She would make a great pet in the right home!<\/p>\n

Here is Bracken having a sleep after being at the groomers.<\/p>\n

She is looking so beautiful, she has always been a\u00a0beautiful dog\u00a0bless
\nher, I will miss her when she goes to her new home\u00a0xx<\/p>\n

progress update from Becky: 5th Apr 09<\/strong>
\nMorning Helen,<\/p>\n

Bracken and Minty slept well, I didn’t hear a peep out of them.<\/p>\n

I came in the kitchen to find Bracken on my kitchen table bless her,<\/p>\n

after I cleaned the kitchen I sat with them and gave them lots of fuss.<\/p>\n

They both like to stay under my kitchen table as they feel safer under there.<\/p>\n

progress update: 4th Apr 09<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hi there Helen,
\nTheir first few hours:
\nBracken and Minty are settling in well they have had plenty to drink,
\nthey are getting on well with my dog Frankie he is very excited to have them here,
\nand they don’t mind the cats being around.
\nBracken was very interested in saying hi to my cat Sooty and Minty stayed in her bed,
\nmy daughter is very taken with them both she says she loves them bless her.
\nBracken is certainly the more confident one but still nervous, loves her cuddles,
\nMinty is very nervous but she is letting me stroke her, they are such beautiful
\ndogs, we went out in the garden with their leads on they were nervous
\nbut had a good sniff round.
\nI am pleased to hear that Bracken is going to a new home very soon.
\nWe are going to enjoy having them here.

BRACKEN<\/strong><\/p>\n

Helen and Jane came to pick me up today and take me back to the rescue.
\nI was very frightened as I didn’t know what was happening but it’s not bad here.
\nClive is nice but a bit playful and at the moment I am confused and scared so not too keen on him asking me to play all the time.
\nI am to have a bath tomorrow as I am very dirty and Helen says I smell.
\nI hadn’t noticed but then I am used to my smell.
\nI have also heard that I am to have a hair cut to get rid of the matted hair.
\nWe had fish tonight for tea which is a first for me I have never tasted fish before,
\nI hope it is on the menu tomorrow.
\nI spent the first couple of hours hiding and running away from Helen but gradually she
\nhas won me over and now I like her to cuddle me.
\nShe says I will come on quickly and in no time at all I will be a confident dog.
\nI am to be given extra meals as I am a bit on the thin side.
\nClive reckons I am pretty matts and all.
\nIt was a sunny day today and so lovely to be out in it.
\nKim and Sheba enjoyed it as they have never spent time outside of a shed.
\nHelen said today was the first day of a new life for me and soon I
\nwill have new home who love me.<\/p>\n

MINTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was picked up along with Bracken,Kim and Sheba today.
\nI am still very frightend and really not sure what to make of all this.
\nWe have clean blankets which we have never had before and even had fish for tea.
\nClive says it is going to be fine and there is nothing to be frightened off,
\nI guess in time I will find out if this is true.
\nHelen has left me to find my feet today but I heard talk of a bath tomorrow.
\nI have never had a bath before so I am not sure what this means.
\nShe says I need a gentle home with someone patient who will
\nencourage and teach me not to be scared.
\nI like being with the other dogs and I spent time in the garden when no-one was around,
\nI am too scared to come out of my bed if people are nearby.
\nStill it can’t be bad here we have had a delicious tea, there are clean blankets and the
