Mabel has now found a home !!<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

progress update: 25\/05\/2022<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Last Saturday Mabel had a day out with Sarah who had volunteered to walk and do training with Mabel.
\nMabel had a lovely day out walking along the beach and back and then time back at Sarah’s. Even with just a day of positive training Mabel being a bright and intelligent girl soon picked it up.<\/p>\n

Mabel had her first off lead walk across the heath today.
\nWith Pippin to guide her back to me she came when he did when called and soon after came when called on her own volition.
\nShe met other dogs and was friendly towards them and eager to say hello.<\/p>\n

Mabel has come on well and is mixing with the dogs here at the Rescue.
\nShe walks past other dogs without barking now on her walks.
\nShe had a short spell off lead and came back but still needs a bit more practise with recall.
\nShe has plenty of energy and loves to greet visitors to the house.
\nShe was recently spayed – this photo shows her recovering and sporting a cheerful buster collar.<\/p>\n

Mabel arrived from a dog pound a couple of weeks ago.
\nShe is full of life and loves people though not too sure cats would be on her list of friends.
\nShe does need some training to approach dogs without barking to announce her arrival and yesterday she started this and did very well.
\nShe picked up quickly that “No ” meant it is okay and nothing to be anxious about.
\nSoon she was walking past Frank without barking at all.
\nHer foster Mum is continuing to work on her with this.
\nMabel is around 4 years or so of age.<\/p>\n
