Dear All – having just recovered fromWolfie’s escapade of 3 weeks on the
\nloose in theNew Forest, I couldn’t believe my ears this afternoon when the
\nlady looking after Sammy whilst Penny and Nigel went to Italy, phoned me to
\nsay she had let him off the lead just a few hours after she had taken him
\ninto her care. Sammy is an extremely shy dog and will be very difficult to
\ncoax. He went missing at 12.30 this afternoon in Bear Wood. Mark and I were
\nalerted at 3pm and we spotted him at 4.30 on King John\/Richard Drive area of
\nBear Wood. He was running down the middle of the road and we didn’t stand a
\nhope of catching him. Unfortunately, it was terribly hot today and there is
\nno surface water. He was, though, near to where he went missing and we are
\nhoping he will try to make his way back. However, Chris and Barbara also
\nspent the evening looking for him but had no luck. Penny and Nigel are not
\nyet aware and I hope we get him back safely long before their return.
\nThe lady responsible for him is at 92 Plantagenet Crescent and her phone number
\nis 01202 594157 and Sammy is wearing one of her tags as well as his own.
\nAny help will be very much appreciated. Should you see him then please
\ncontact her as she thinks he will come to her. This is all such a shame as
