{"id":3398,"date":"2012-07-07T15:25:24","date_gmt":"2012-07-07T14:25:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/?p=3398"},"modified":"2012-07-08T15:14:22","modified_gmt":"2012-07-08T14:14:22","slug":"jackson-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/jackson-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Jackson"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\">REHOMED<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update: 7\/7\/12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/d12\/0707b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/d12\/0707c.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I went to visit dear Jackson in his new home to see how he was getting on.<br \/>\nWhat a difference &#8211; his hair was growing back before he left and with Diane keeping up his regime of treatment and baths he now has all his hair back and it is glossy and healthy.<br \/>\nHe only has a bath once a month and doesn&#8217;t need the Advocate anymore.<br \/>\nJackson had Demodectic Mange notoriously hard to treat but this treatment worked.<br \/>\nHe didn&#8217;t have the horrible chemical baths which make the skin so sore.<br \/>\nIf you are interested in how we treated his mange then feel free to email me at the rescue.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jackson was with me here at the rescue for eighteen months when he<br \/>\narrived back into us he was in a terrible state with open bleeding sores, crusty skin and no hair.<br \/>\nPoor Jackson, in so much pain but so tolerant of me creaming his sores and bathing him and they say Bull<br \/>\nbreeds can&#8217;t be trusted !!<br \/>\nIt was a wrench for me to let him go to Diane and I very nearly didn&#8217;t let her have him.<br \/>\nDiane told me he was despondent for several weeks after he left to live with her and I<br \/>\nstill feel guilty about this. But, I know how much Diane loves him and he is happy with her now, my job was done.<br \/>\nEach dog that comes here takes a little bit of my heart with them but some like Jackson take a bit more.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update: 11\/3\/12<\/strong><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #99cc00;\"><strong>Jackson has now been rehomed !!!<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Yes, after having the lovely Jackson living with me for 18 months he has now found a home.<br \/>\nIt was a wrench to let him go and I nearly caved in a few times but remained strong.<br \/>\nIn the time he has been with me from when he arrived covered in open, bleeding sores and with no hair at all his hair is growing back very well and his skin is soft again.<br \/>\nDiane who has adopted him went off this evening with supplies of his special shampoo,food, tablets and all his supplements so she can continue to keep his treatment up.<br \/>\nShe has promised to send updates and photos.<br \/>\nHis hair has regrown incredibly and he now has hair on his chest and it is almost all over his body.<br \/>\nJackson has Demodectic Mange so for those of you that have a dog with this there is hope and if you would like to know how I treated him and got him to this point I am happy to talk to you just email me at the rescue<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Helen<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update: 7\/9\/11<\/strong><br \/>\nMutley has told me that all worthy Bull Terriers gobble their meal down at a 1000 mph then sit patiently next to someone else&#8217;s dinner plate waiting for scraps &#8211; as you can see I am a avid pupil of his teachings.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/d11\/smeg.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>Official progress update from Helen: 20\/8\/11<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/d11\/206b.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/d11\/208a.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Photos of Jackson with Scarlet one of his walking companions.<br \/>\nScarlet is wearing the wellies that Dooley gave her!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Jackson is a lovely dog, good with children, cats and other dogs.<br \/>\nHe still has skin problems but this is something that time and care should sort out.<br \/>\nJackson is loyal and affectionate, good off the lead and travels well in the car.<br \/>\nViki has taken some photos of him on his walk sporting his new pink collar -not sure he is particularly enamored with being made to wear a pink collar but someone chewed up his red one and it was the first one that Helen grabbed to put on him for his walk.<br \/>\nAnyway, none of the dogs he met out laughed at him so he was happy enough to wear it just this once.<br \/>\nHe needs a home that is prepared to continue his skin treatment which the rescue will pay for and also one that will give him lots of time and love to settle him down.<br \/>\nHe has been at the rescue a long time and is quite attached to Helen and she to him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Mutley&#8217;s unofficial progress &#8216;updates&#8217;
