{"id":377,"date":"2008-09-13T14:42:28","date_gmt":"2008-09-13T14:42:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/?p=377"},"modified":"2013-05-05T21:38:15","modified_gmt":"2013-05-05T20:38:15","slug":"charlie-brown","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/charlie-brown\/","title":{"rendered":"Charlie Brown"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update: 13th Sep<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Hi Helen,<br \/>\nSue asked me to send you these pictures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Charlie is now a good friend and neighbour to our one year old Border Terrier &#8220;Bertie&#8221;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">(seen also in the photo, with other local friends Edison the OES puppy,<br \/>\nMillie, Jasper &amp; Buddy all rescued Westies,Goldies, &amp; Heinz 57&#8217;s)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">and we look forward to many happy &#8216;walkies&#8217; together.<br \/>\nBest wishes Debbie.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/dogs2\/charlie1.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/dogs2\/charlie2.JPG\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update: 2nd Sep<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Sue has decided to keep Charlie !!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update from Sue: 1st Sep<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I took them to badbury rings this morning, and<br \/>\nhe took off like a bat from hell!!&#8230;..but he came back. phew.<br \/>\nMy next door neighbour Debbie, has a border terrier, who was<br \/>\nhopeless at coming back, and she had lessons on clicker training,<br \/>\nrecall etc;  She is going to help me with the long lead she has (30<br \/>\nmetres long), and she reckons we&#8217;ll be able to get him to come back<br \/>\nmore easily by taking him out on an empty stomach, and having good<br \/>\ntreats like homemade liver cake etc;<br \/>\nShe is an A and E nurse, and she reckons the sneezing might be a<br \/>\ngrass seed up one nostril, as he has no temperature.  I will be taking<br \/>\nhim to the vet tomorrow for examination.<br \/>\nDebbie reckons when he puts on a bit of weight, he won&#8217;t be quite so<br \/>\nfast.  She thinks he&#8217;s a great little dog, and will get on with her<br \/>\nBertie (terrier)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>progress update from Sue: 31st Aug<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Hi Helen,<br \/>\nWe took Charley to Whitecliff, after leaving you.   He had a lovely<br \/>\ntime.  We let him off the lead, and he came back quite easily!<br \/>\nHe gets on well with Curly, and he has spent the afternoon exploring<br \/>\nthe garden, and generally getting used to his new home.  He is very<br \/>\nresponsive, and lisens to commands, and I think he will be quite easy<br \/>\nto train, as he is young enough, and bright enough to take it all in.<br \/>\nHe pulls a  bit on the lead, but nothing I can&#8217;t handle.  all in all<br \/>\nwe think he is a smashing dog (Dave is smitten too!)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/sithean.com\/dawgdogs\/dogs2\/Charlie Brown 1.jpg\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>progress update: 13th Sep Hi Helen, Sue asked me to send you these pictures.
