Hi Helen
\nScooby is doing really well, we love him to bits and he has settled in completely.
\nI am sure you would see how contented he looks by the way he has filled out!
\nWe are beginning to let him off the lead more and more but he does have a habit of disappearing for 15 mins and scaring us,
\nI think he picks up the scent of something and is off…..

Scooby has now found a home !!<\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n

When Scooby was found he weighed 30 lbs.
\nWhen you think that the weight of a Jack Russel is usually around 21 lbs the enormity of how underweight a dog of Scooby’s size was becomes clear.
\nHe was found wandering on his own having obviously been unable to scrounge enough food.
\nHis head and body hung like those awful photos you see of worn out horses when they have given up.
\nThanks to Eileen in Ireland who took him in by the time he arrived to us he had gained a lot of weight and even though he still needs to fill out a little more he is much, much improved.
\nNot a happy past for a dog who loves his Scooby snacks !!<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A couple more photos of the lovely Scooby.
\nScooby has been fostering with us for just a week now so time for a little write up.
\nWe understand Scooby is about three years old and his breed is a Harrier Hound, possibly crossed with something else.
\nHe is a big dog but gentle and laid back.
\nScooby is clean in the house, he is crate trained and very quiet (I have not heard him bark once yet).
\nHe seems friendly with other dogs and with a harness walks beautifully.
\nHe has also joined us in our training for the New Forest Half Marathon and loves to come jogging.
\nScooby has just been neutered. Not sure how he is with cats but probably best not going to a home with small furries.
\nHe travels well in the car.<\/p>\n
