from Helen and all at the Rescue to everyone<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n who helped to make the Fun Day Dog Show last weekend such a great success !!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n which will all go towards helping many more dogs in the near future !!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \n Special thanks to:<\/strong><\/p>\n \n Pat<\/strong> and Nigel<\/strong> on whose land the Show was held,<\/p>\n Kate<\/strong>, who worked tirelessly to organise the Show with Ann<\/strong> and Mark<\/strong><\/p>\n and who also took many of the photos,<\/p>\n Jenny<\/strong> who manned the PA all day,<\/p>\n Pat<\/strong> and Sally<\/strong> who judged all the events,<\/p>\n Jane<\/strong> and Jimmy<\/strong> with Ozzie<\/strong><\/span> who ran the DAWGdogs shop,<\/p>\n Claire<\/strong> and Sergeant Pepper<\/strong><\/span> who ran the Raffle,<\/p>\n Kieser<\/strong> who ran the Bottle Stall,<\/p>\n Anne <\/strong>who ran the Children’s Area,<\/p>\n Jan<\/strong> and Louise<\/strong> with Sadie<\/strong><\/span> who ran the Tombola,<\/p>\n Jan<\/strong> who ran the cakes and plants stall,<\/p>\n Emma<\/strong> and Anne<\/strong> who ran the bric-a-brac stall.<\/p>\n Jan<\/strong>, Jimmy<\/strong> and Jonathan<\/strong> for helping set up and pack away everything,<\/p>\n Gemma<\/strong> who helped with the preparation,<\/p>\n Jeanine<\/strong> and Lissa <\/strong>and Gerard <\/strong>who ran the Agility course,<\/p>\n Jason<\/strong>, Jaff<\/strong> and Harry<\/strong> who dressed up as dogs and did collections,<\/p>\n Judges Helpers Tracey<\/strong> and Trudy<\/strong>,<\/p>\n Angela<\/strong> and the Friendly Dog Club<\/strong>,<\/p>\n The New Forest Dog Owners Club<\/strong>,<\/p>\n Julian Clegg<\/strong> for publicising the show on Radio Solent,<\/strong><\/p>\n Simon<\/strong>,<\/p>\n Linda<\/strong> from Paddy’s Pool<\/strong> who ran a stall<\/p>\n and who has homed three DAWGdogs over the years,<\/p>\n Jim<\/strong>, Charlie<\/strong> and Reece<\/strong> for supervising the car parking,<\/p>\n Pat<\/strong> who donated all the rosettes,<\/p>\n everyone<\/strong> who made cakes and donated bottles and other items,<\/p>\n and a special mention of thanks to<\/p>\n Charlie <\/strong>and his brother Phil<\/strong><\/p>\n who both donated \u00a3100 each!<\/p>\n \n \n \n DAWGdog Dogs Of The Year 2008 First Prize<\/strong> was won by Lillie<\/span><\/strong> who lives with the Hurcombe family<\/strong>.<\/p>\n She is a lurcher cross fostered by them five years ago when she was only five weeks old and arrived at the Rescue very ill with pneumonia.<\/p>\n \n Second Prize<\/strong> was won by Ozzie<\/strong><\/span>,<\/p>\n a golden lab cross looked after by Jane Ferguson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Ozzie had been badly treated in Ireland<\/p>\n ( he was actually brought into the Irish rescue by his original owner locked in the boot of a car<\/p>\n as if that was a normal way to transport a dog )<\/p>\n He was very difficult at first and bit a few people<\/p>\n because he was very nervous.<\/p>\n At the Show he helped on the DAWGdogs stall<\/p>\n and behaved impeccably all day long.<\/p>\n \n 3rd prize<\/p>\n Muffin<\/span><\/strong> and Mrs Holcombe<\/strong><\/p>\n \n 4th prize<\/p>\n Minty<\/span><\/strong> and Mrs Davies<\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n \n FANCY DRESS WINNERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1st<\/p>\n Katie<\/strong> and Purdie<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 2nd<\/p>\n Emma<\/strong> and Sheba<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 3rd<\/p>\n Harry <\/strong>and Oscar<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n \n \n \n DOGS MOST LIKE OWNERS WINNERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1st<\/p>\n Helen<\/strong> and Gigi<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n 2nd<\/p>\n Steve <\/strong>and Zak<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n 3rd<\/p>\n Sarah<\/strong> and Rudy<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \n \n \n DOGS WITH THE WAGGIEST TAIL WINNERS:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1st<\/p>\n Fenn<\/span><\/strong> and Carolyn<\/strong><\/p>\n 2nd<\/p>\n Dexter <\/strong><\/span>and Stephanie<\/strong><\/p>\n 3rd<\/p>\n Roma<\/strong><\/span> and Jean<\/strong><\/p>\n A special no-tail prize was awarded to<\/p>\n Chas<\/strong><\/span> and Mandy<\/strong> !<\/p>\n \n \n \n BEST RESCUE DOG 2008<\/strong><\/p>\n was won by Sam ( a.k.a Skinny Sam )<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \n more results and photos to follow soon !!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A HUGE THANK YOU !!!! from Helen and all at the Rescue to everyone who helped to make the Fun Day Dog Show last weekend such a great success !!
