Hi Helen I wanted to give you an update on our dog Toby, we adopted from you about 7 years ago.
Poor Toby had, had a awful start and was scared of lots of things, I know you worried about us taking him on even though we had had rescue dogs before.
I must say it was touch and go at the beginning as he had many issues.
I want to thank you and I thank Toby every morning, he is the most wonderful dog and having his best life now.
We moved to West Wales to a smallholding with 9 acres, Toby considers himself guardian of all the other animals and checks on them including the cats, which he hasn’t lived with before.
He is very gentle, funny and well behaved.
Hopefully he will live to be a very old gent.
Big thanks again. X

I have just gone back to this, to remember how Toby found his way into our hearts.
He came to live with us in a quiet house, with grown up children and our older dog, who is sadly this year has gone to doggy heaven.
We love him dearly and is very spoilt boy, enjoys his walks, goes to the beach everyday and still chases seagulls, loses a tennis ball most days.
He goes to work 4 days a week and is the official meet and greet member of staff and has a large fan base!
He loves to help with the housework and gardening, everything takes twice as long to do.
He only is a little nervous at night if he has been asleep, we definitely think he was kicked while he was sleeping, which is so sad, we have noticed in the last few weeks he is more relaxed when sleeping now lays on his back with legs in the air rather than curling in a tight ball and not leaping up when you pass him. Definitely has collie on his DNA, love to find out what the rest is, whatever it is it is all lovely!
Thank you Dawg dogs for such a lovely companion

Toby

Toby’s first night with us was a great success.
He slept next to Dylan all night, and has had a nice walk this morning.
He’s a fantastic dog.

Toby will be fantastic company for 13 year old Dylan, and we’re so looking forward to giving him some love and a stable home.
Thanks DAWG Dogs.

Toby is just over a year old.
We think he is a crossbreed collie.
He was sadly neglected by his previous owner, was not being fed, had no training had never been taken for a walk and think he had been hit.
I decided to look after him until we could find him a new home.
He is a lovely dog, very handsome but at times can be nervous.
He does not like small confined spaces, I believe he may have been locked up at times.
He has come on loads since he has been with us but needs more training with someone who has the time and patience in a quiet relaxed household with no small children.
He loves kids but would suit children who are 10 or above.
He is fully house trained and no problem at night time in he sleeps all the way through.
He is a house dog but loves being outside during the day.
Mad for the beach and chasing birds so needs good exercise.
He gets on very well with other dogs which is something he has learn’t since being with us.
Would suit a household who has another dog.
Loves cuddles, belly rubbed and ears stroked.
His jabs are up to date and he has been neutured.
