Beau needs a home !!

Beau – Was found by side of road having been hit by car and left for dead.
Taken to a vet who put pins in his leg.
We are now concentrating on gradually building up the muscles in this leg.
God, what a lovely, gentle dog who did not mind one iota Binkey cuddling up in his bed with him for a bit of comfort and warmth.
Clean in house and what more can you ask for in a friend then that.
We will be fussy finding the right home for him so put your best foot forward ….

Tommy & Mossie

Mossie still needs a home !!

Mossie – Well what a totally gorgeous Collie Mossie is.
Now five months old and already sitting before being stroked and fab off lead from first off lead walk.
Clean in house and just loves other dogs and all people he meets.
Intelligent and quick to learn and would suit an active family or agility home.

Tommy has now found a home !!

progress update: 21/04/2018

Daphne who is fostering Tommy and Mossie is doing a fantastic job with them.
She can’t use her living room anymore because they have taken it over…

They are both very quick to learn and already know sit and off.
Tommy is very amiable and plods along beside Daphne on a walk where as Mossie is all over the place and around her legs eager to smell everything.

Tommy and Mossie have been kept in a dark outhouse and only let out occasionally.
They are 12 weeks old Collies and like all puppies full of life and enjoying it to the full in their foster home where they run in the garden,
get up on the furniture uninvited and generally cause the mayhem puppies do.
Lovely that they now can run , play and enjoy the sunny days.

Tina needs a home !!

Tina arrived last Sunday a stray from a dog pound.
Her legs and underside were yellow stained from lying in urine.
Three baths couldn’t get it all off but am sure now Claire has given her a few more baths she is back to her white and black colour.
She settled in straight away with the other dogs at the Rescue and has lots of confidence.
She is the size of a small Terrier and a Terrier cross Chihuahua.

Here is Claire’s who has fostered her since Monday write up on her :-

Tina is a lovely little lady who loves nothing more than to be with you all the time,
She has settled in with our dog very well and snuggles up on the sofa,
Tina loves running around outside,
imagine a tiny lurcher and that’s her Haha,
she will make any family a perfect

Sadie

Sadie needs a home !!

progress update: 15/05/2018

Sadie came with DAWGdog Snoop to the Bransgore Fun Day.
She was an absolute delight to walk around and enjoyed a snooze in the beer tent.
Thanks to Jules Syrett Photography for taking the photos.

We have been fostering Sadie for just over a week now.
She has settled in beautifully with DAWGdogs Taylor and Snoop, like she has always been here.
A really gentle, friendly girl with both humans and other dogs.
Sadie is good on the lead, doesn’t pull and excellent in the car.
Typical lurcher in nature, likes to sleep a lot in a comfy bed most of the day!
Sadie will be a wonderful, loyal friend to a lucky human.

Sadie was in the dog pound with Rogan and her time was up too.
She is also a sweet natured and gentle character.
She gets on very well with all the dogs here.
On her walks she likes to bounce down to play with the dogs she meets.

Skye

Skye needs a home !!

progress update: 24/04/2018

Exciting day for me as I have been on a treasure hunt with Biscuit, Gemma and Stuart.
And I walked along the road from their house to the park and only had to be picked up once…..
The cars still scare me a bit to be honest but I am gradually getting used to the noise they make.
I am worn out from all the new experiences and going to have a bit of a snore and legs up in the air now having just eaten a delicious dinner

progress update: 21/04/2018

Well today I met a nice couple who wanted to meet me.
Helen wanted them to see how very scared of the outdoors wide open spaces I am.
And with a lot of tempting we went around the block for a walk.
As soon as I knew I was on the homeward stretch I pulled all the way to the back garden to get to my safety zone.
Tomorrow I am off to stay with Gemma, Stuart and Biscuit who are going to continue to walk with me in the woods and let me off the lead for a good run in the enclosed dog park.
Helen is going to take me over to Geoff’s for a run in his paddock while she picks up the horse poo.
And she has said she will take me to her allotments where I can get used to open space in a safe area.
She is crossing her fingers I won’t bark too much and annoy the other allotment people

progress update: 8/04/2018

Skye is gradually coming on with her lead training and getting used to the noise of cars etc.
She spent the weekend with Gemma, Stuart and Biscuit and had an off-lead run in the enclosed dog park.
She did very well in the woods walking on the lead and is now starting to pull ahead on it.
In no time at all she will become comfortable with the outside world.

Skye’s view of the last few days :-
Helen took me out for a lead walk on Thursday and Friday.
At first it was quite scary as having been in a shed the cars made so much noise.
I sat down and refused to move.
Helen stroked me and tempted me on a few more steps and there were so many interesting smells that I walked around the corner myself which I had a lot of praise for.
Helen said I had probably had enough by the time we walked around the block and I was glad to get back into the garden.
Jake immediately tried to round me up into a tidy circle……
On the weekend I tired myself out in Gemma and Stuart’s garden and had a walk in the woods and so many interesting smells that I completely forgot to be scared.
They are going to take me out for more walks this week!

Skye is a year old Collie who gets on with other dogs.
Having been kept in a shed she is gradually getting used to a lead and the world outside of the garden.
Very quick to learn and a gentle girl.

Rogan

Updated February 28, 2018 Categories: DAWGDOGS NEEDING A HOME !!, dogs.

Rogan needs a home !!

Rogan was in a dog pound and his time was up.
He gets on extremely well with other dogs, walks gently on the lead and has a gentle nature.
He is nervous of new people and in particular men at first and we think he has not been treated at all well in the past.
A really nice, sweet natured boy.
