Lynx (a.k.a Rhubarb)

REHOMED

progress update: 27/04/2014

HI DAWG dogs, I thought you might like an update as to how I am getting on, It’s Lynx by the way (originally known as Rhubarb).
So far I have made friends with granny’s dogs Wish and Sprocket, Sprocket is the moodier one but I think I am definitely winning him around and I have fun playing with Wish on walks.
I am settling in well in my cottage with my new mum and dad who tell me all the time they have absolutely fallen in love with me.
Oh and I not only sit and wait but I have good recall and give high fives already, I think I will be top of my puppy class!
And finally I enjoyed my 1st beach outing today and even went in the sea.
Thank you very much for rescuing me and giving my mum and dad the opportunity to adopt me. P.S I love food. Always Lynx. x

April + May: Fundraising at Pets At Home, Branksome

DAWGdogs volunteers and our dogs will be at Branksome Pets at Home for the next three weeks selling raffle tickets to raise money for the Rescue!
Please do come down to meet the dogs we have needing homes and also please do buy a ticket or two (or three!) from us.
The more raffle tickets we sell the more money will be donated to the rescue by Pets at Home!

Meg

Meg has now found a home !!

I have heard tell that I am adorable and one who is easily fallen in love with and this comes from Helen who doesn’t fall in love easily.
I love other dogs and children but not horses as one stood on my foot and bruised it badly.
I am 9 months old and my lady couldn’t keep me.
I was sad at this at I really loved her and the children I lived with.
Kevin my foster Dad said to Helen ” This is one I could fall in love with ”
Helen said Nooooooooooooooooo Kevin it will take up a foster place for another needy dog like me.

We need to raise more money for the Rescue.
There are several high vets bills to be paid ( not least that for Hope’s recent treatment ) and there have been plans for several years to improve facilities at the Rescue which we would love to impliment and which now at last are becoming a possibility.
Also Helen’s trusty old Volvo estate which has been cheerfully destroyed by many DAWGdogs in the past ( most notably Dooley who ripped out the roof, interior door panels and large sections of the wiring! ) is about to be replaced because the locks are persistently failing to work and this has gone from being an annoyance to a liability.

So, experimentation is being made with having more adverts on the website to help to try and bring in a bit of extra revenue. Likely amounts are small, but since the outlay is zero then it is worth it.

However, we don’t want to annoy YOU, the loyal visitors to this site who make it all worthwhile.
So please let us know if you feel that the balance has been compromised or if you find the adverts detract too much from the rest of the website.

If you REALLY can’t stand adverts then I’d recommend ADBLOCK PLUS https://adblockplus.org/en/firefox to blank them all out, but as it stands the Google adverts will generate us a small donation every time that they are clicked, and the other adverts will generate small donations based on a percentage of any subsequent purchases on the promoted websites, and all of these will slowly mount up over the life of the website and be useful to us and to the DAWGdogs, so please only block them as a last resort.

Please feel free to email either helen@dawgdogs.net or mark@dawgdogs.net about this at any time.

Best wishes,
Mark
