This is Willow a six month old soft coated , brindle Lurcher girl.
She gets on with dogs and children.
Willow had her first walk off lead today and met eight other dogs.
She was a little nervous of their bombastic ways at first but soon settled in and started to chase in that circle of dogs that dogs seem to like doing.

Missy is seven years old, a Jack Russel who gets on with dogs, children and cats.

MYSTERY ILLNESS UPDATE
Forest Vets at Fordingbridge have released the following statement on their website –
“We have received reports of another suspected case of acute kidney injury occuring within the last week. This case is from outside the Latchmore Brook/Ogdens area. Investigations are ongoing to see if it is related to the previous incidents, and we will keep you informed as we get further information. As previously, please be extra-vigilant with your pets.”
NFDOG understands that the dog concerned in this possible case of the mystery illness was walked solely around the Verelea/ Picket Post area, from Smugglers Road car park. We would urge you to be over cautious with your dogs at the current time and regularly check them for signs of lesions appearing anywhere on their body or them seeming off colour. If at all concerned, seek advice from your vet.
The Animal Health Trust have produced a questionnaire for people who have walked their dog in the Ogdens area of the forest to fill in, it is available here http://www.aht.org.uk/cms-xmodnewsrss_detail/QUESTIONNAIRE_TO_HELP_WITH_INVESTIGATION_INTO_NEW_FOREST_DOG_DEATHS.html

Please call Rebecca on 07814 953161 if you see her.

Basil teasing Poppet
Here’s young Pippin modelling one of the new coats paid for by Pets at Home.
They will help advertise those DAWGdogs needing homes when they are out on walks etc. especially when combined with their bright ‘I Need Adopting !!’ leads.
We would like to say a huge
to Pets at Home Branksome for paying for these coats and for all their support of the Rescue.

Thank you also to Peter for these photographs.
Pippin himself is not looking for a home as he has his feet well under the table now as a permanent resident at the Rescue where he loves to pull everything off the radiators whenever he can!

Avah has now been with us a week and she has settled in beautifully,
she is quiet and clean in the house travels well in the car and is happy to be in her crate at night.
Avah has a really happy disposition and loves everyone and everything,
she especially loves other dogs and greets everyone with a waggy tail and loves them to chase her,
she will need an active home as she has lots of energy and relishes every moment of her walk
she is a wonderful little girl

This is the beautiful Ava who has been returned to the Rescue as the lady who adopted her from us feels that she now doesn’t have the time for her !! .
Please remember that when thinking of adopting a dog it is a lifetime commitment.
Poor Ava was first of all left on the street at 8 weeks of age, came to us at the Rescue then found a home which we thought would be forever and has now been returned to us….
A Dog is for Life remember and not until it needs more time than you are prepared to give it.
Avah is a 10 month Lurcher type who has a wonderful nature, she is spayed, vaccinated, good with other dogs and cats and has lived with children aged 6 and above.
Purdy, a blue whippet went missing in Wareham Forest on Saturday 31st March
