After the passing of our two rescue dogs Patch & Molly so close together,
(Molly was a sweet and loving DAWG dog who was with us for 12 yrs), it was a very sad time.
Channeling our upset into something positive, enter Barney as a foster placement…..well,
we took one look at him and knew he’d found his forever home !
He settled quickly and has been with us for over 6 months now.
Such a wonderful little chap, Barney loves everyone and everyone loves Barney !
He’s full of character, very affectionate and brought much happiness to the family.
Thank you so much for him Helen, he’s adorable.
Thought you would like these photos of Barney and his friends.

Pepper is such a lovely little girl, wants cuddles and to be with you.
She is clean day and night and sleeps to about 4/4.30 when she will let you know that she needs to go out for the toilet, but goes straight back to bed.
She has taken an interest in our rats and the local cats when she is sat on the window sill.
Pepper loves her walks and cuddles after when being dried.
She gets on well with Maddie our dog and loves the attention our boys show her.
She does as she is told, although can be cheeky when it’s feeding time and will sneak up behind you.
I haven’t let her off lead and she does pull, like most little dogs I see being walked!

Meet Pepper, she has only been with us a couple of hours.
She’s asked to go out for the toilet, very sweet girl indeed.
Will update again when she’s settled

We’ve had Toby for a couple of weeks now and he is a real character.
Before he settles down for a nap he looks around for something he can take and guard, paper, tissue, plastic bag, hat. glove, towel, anything.
He then takes it to bed and looks at you as if to say “come and get it”.
We don’t, we wait till he falls asleep and then take it.
You can stroke and pet him when he is guarding as long as you don’t go near it.
He loves his walks and gets very excited and now he has lost a bit of weight he can even get all four feet in the air.
Toby loves to meet other dogs and will run the length of the field to say hello, but then usually looks to see where you are and then I can signal to him to come back as he is quite deaf so calling is no good.
He will chase the cat but he knows he shouldn’t as he runs away so could only live with a confident cat.
Toby makes me smile at least a couple of times a day with his foibles.
He would make an ideal companion for an older person who doesn’t have young children because of his guarding as he will snap if challenged.

He’s quite a nice dog, gets on well with other dogs and although a bit possessive it’s not unmanageable.
I let him of the lead today and he came back easily enough.
He would suit an adult household.
Just arrived approx 8yrs old King Charles Spaniel, bit overweight so plenty of exercise needed.
More to follow once he has settled in with us.

Gus has returned from the groomers still nice and fluffy,
thank you Penny Davage at The Grooming Room in Wimbourne for his treat!

Gus has arrived at the Rescue through no fault of his own,
he is a friendly happy dog and makes no demands,
just happy to be around people and dogs,
good in the car ,crate trained ,
good on and off his lead, loves his toys
he is 2yr old Llasa Apso..
Gus is smaller than he looks in the photos, he only weighs 8 kg.
Kora is not coming to the Rescue but we would like to help find her a home

Kora is timid dog.She had big problems when she was baby but she is ok now.
We call her dancing dog. As she had hips broken when she walks she is a bit of like dancing.
Kora lives at the kennel. All our animals are eating the same food so its hard to say what she likes and what she doesn’t….
she doesn’t bark. Very, very rare maybe. I actually have never heard her barking.
Kora probably will come to UK in April, I hope. In March she will travel to CZ foster home.
She should be already here(in January), but because of lots of snow she could not travel to her foster.
Kora is about 3 years old.
At the moment she is in Marina´s address – Ukraine. Dnepropetrovsk. shelter FRIEND. She will be in foster home in Prague.
Kora is with her in shelter.
