Gilly

REHOMED !!

progress update: 23/04/2017

Gilly came all the way from Somerset to join us on the walk today.
And what a different dog she is now from the very frightened and disturbed dog she was when she went to her new home.

We thought you might like to see this photo of Gilly when she was hugging her “Mr Bean’s” teddy.

Gilly still has a few hang-ups and is still scared of a few things when she is out for her walks, also she doesn’t travel very well, at the moment she goes in the front foot well.
Last time rather than buying travel sickness pills I got some for anxiety and she seem much better (another thing solved).
There are improvements most days, but we knew that it was going to take a long time for her to be comfortable about new things.
Things improved in leaps and bounds after she accepted us as her family.

All, in all Gilly is a fabulous pet, absolutely the most loveable dog that we’ve ever had.
We hope to be able to bring her to see you when the weather is a bit better also, I thought we could combine it with a visit to the coast, (I can’t wait to see her reaction to the waves, I’ll have to bring my costume along and try to persuade her into the water.

p.s. Thank you for letting us have Gilly, we love her to bits.

Gilly has now found a home !!

Gilly has settled in really well and is coming up to me wanting to be stroked.
It won’t be long before she is completely confident and comfortable.

Gilly pronounced the Irish way with a hard G is very sweet and still very timid.
She let me sit with her and stroke her yesterday and is beginning to come up to me to nose touch my hand.
Very good with the other dogs, quiet and clean in the house.
More to follow as she settles in.
