Lola and Pudding both have luxating patella which is when their knees pop in and out. Both came from a breeder who no longer wanted them . Pudding who is 9 years old last litter were all born dead so she was of no use to this breeder anymore. Poor Pudding has lived with this most of her life and has endured the pain of this. Can you imagine how painful it has been for her to be mated and then to look after litter after litter? Lola’s legs while still not so far advanced, will be as bad within a year or two. They are both going to have an operation this Tuesday which will correct this for them and they will no longer have pain at last. It will cost £2000 to £2,500 each for them to have this operation. There will be a two month recovery time for them where exercise has to be limited. This is a lot of money but has to be done for them so they will no longer be in pain and can go on to walk normally and enjoy a pain free life.
