update from Helen on the new dogs

THE DOGS AT BEDTIME:

A sleepy Jack

A tired Sweeny

A watchful Kimmy

Jack and Sweeny

A snoring Harley

The dogs arrived from Ireland on Sunday and settled in well together.

As our southern warmer climate changed yesterday and we had snow and the dogs were tired after a long journey Jack and Kimmy asked for extra bedding and were tucked up with extra towels and blankets.

The heater had been going full blast all day but you know what it is like if you feel tired, the body temperature falls and the cold creeps into the bones.

Ted, Cecil and Harley now have homes to go to once they have spent a few days with us and had time to settle down.
Ted is a boisterous sort of chap who loves to play all day and like most youngsters resists bedtime.
Jack is sooo nice and good off the lead, he is a Deputy Dawg type of dog

(for those of you old enough to remember Deputy Dawg!)

Anyone who gives Jack a home will love him instantly.

Cecil arrived with a neck wound caused by the dog he used to live with.

The good people in Ireland had treated him with antibiotics and we now need to keep the wound clean and as soon as it is healed he can go to his new home.

Sweeney is very sweet, a little timid and we think she hasn’t been treated as kindly as she should of been.

Harley is just divine a very laid back dog and so gentle.

He flinches at movement near him but is coming out of his shell and even jumped up at me today to say hello.

He has a family eagerly awaiting his arrival into their home.

I shall be sorry to see him go and I think that I have fallen in love with him.

Kimmy is the sweetest girl (as the song goes) she spends a lot of time curled up on her bed. Kimmy would love a home where she can have good walks and a lap to curl up on in the evening.
All of the dogs get on with each other and are very sociable.
