Rocco ( a.k.a Prince Rocco )

REHOMED !!

progress update: 03/11/2020

Hi Helen I hope all is well with you. Well we’ve worked out that Rocco is probably about 14 now and unfortunately it’s beginning to show.
We had a fabulous holiday in Cornwall mid September with Rocs doing his favourite thing..visiting the beach everyday.
He was going off his food over the week so we decided to visit the vet when we came back, his teeth are so worn that he’s not able to eat biscuit so he’s now on wet food.
He also had a weird turn, falling over, crying and pooping himself. His blood has been checked and all results are a little high but normal for a dog of his age, they then did xrays and found he has good hips but has calcification on one of his vertebrae, he’s now on half a paracetamol morning and night daily and Metacam every other day.
He still has a good quality of life but his swimming days are over sadly, it’s so lovely to think that he had a holiday in that beautiful weather and enjoyed himself so much.
I thought I ought to let you know how things are going.
We love him so much and can’t thank you enough for trusting your instincts and giving us the pleasure of looking after him.
Take care and stay safe.

progress update 17/7/11

Charlie one of our Dawgdogs came with Sarah who he now lives with to visit Helen at her allotment.

He has obviously heard what a good weed killer Buddy was and decided to help with digging over one of the beds and a good job he made of it too as you can see from the photo.

Helen was most impressed with his fine sieving of the soil and encouraged him to dig over different parts which she then raked over.

Come again soon Charlie, Helen has another new bed to dig over!

Bella

progress update: 31/03/2019

We gave Bella a home probably about 10/11 years ago, thank you Dawg.

She came over from Ireland and over the years brought so much happiness into our lives
A few days ago, beautiful Bella, crossed the Rainbow bridge, I was totally heartbroken.

Her body became weary and it was time to let her go with dignity.
She’s running free now and free from pain

Just quick message to let you know Benny is still going strong all these years later!
He has a lot more white hairs (haven’t we all?!) and a couple of inches on the waistline, but still happy, loving, and loved every single day since you brought him here to his forever home from Tralee.
We can never thank you enough
Love, light and happy tailwags Helen!
