Ralph (a.k.a Fred), Feebee, Betty and Ellie !!

progress update on Fred (a.k.a. Ralph): 13th Mar 10

Hi Helen,

I thought it was about time I gave you an update on Fred, now known as Ralph. Please could you forward this to Angela as I have completely miss placed her email address and let her know she can email me directly if she wants more contact.

Well, when I first saw Fred, Feebie and Betty on line I originally wanted a bitch (as I already had an 8yr old dog ) and thought that Feebie and Betty were gorgeous and therefore didn’t consider Fred as an option. I arranged to have a visit and when Angela welcomed me and Neil in we immediately looked at the girls, picking them up for cuddles, trying to decide which one we wanted to re-home. Half way through the visit I noticed little Fred curled up at my feet, each time I moved my feet he would get up, follow me and lay back down at my feet. I bent down to stroke him and he jumped into my arms and nestled into me, I cradled him on his back like a baby and he was completely relaxed and promptly nodded off. At this point Angela said she thought Fred had chosen me to be his mum. I was worried about how easy it would be to integrate two boys but Angela assured me they would be fine and so the decision was made, Fred moved in 3 days later.

Since he moved in he has been an absolute joy and Angela was of course correct, he is a little bit of a mummy’s boy but has fitted in well with our lives and with Toby’s. He was initially incredibly sick each time he went in the car but quickly grew out of this and now enjoys the variety of walks the New Forest has to offer. Toby, my 8yr old border collie loves him from afar and has helped with Fred’s training by showing him a few moves. Fred has a remarkable capacity to learn, his attention span is phenomenal and at 5 months he has a large repertoire of tricks and commands he understands, I can’t wait to get him into agility and or fly-ball as he is super quick on his incredibly long legs as well.

He is the most loving little thing I have ever met and he has such an endearing little nature, I would never have another dog that didn’t choose me.
Thanks Angela and DAWG Dogs.

have now all been rehomed !!

Betty

Hi everyone,

I hope you all had a great Christmas and new year. I had my first taste of Christmas with my foster family which was lots of fun, we all opened our presents which were hidden under the tree, we then went down the beach and ran around chasing each other. Once we got home there was even more presents from friends and family for us 2 open, we then had Christmas dinner where I got my first taste of human food (I really enjoyed the turkey and gravy). So as you can see I’m doing fine. Going out for walks is now one of my favorite things to do, and I am proud to say that I have great recall of lead and walk nicely on a harness and lead, although I’m still a little unsure around lorries and cars so it helps me to have another calm dog by my side. My foster family tell me every day how beautiful and special I am, and they keep saying the words loyal and loving, it makes them smile so I think they are good words. My foster mum thinks it would be best for me to be homed with an older child and she strongly thinks that an other dog would be best for me, as I have never been on my own and I’m so happy to have my friends boz sprocket and wish to play with. So if you think I’m the dog for you then please call Helen and come and meet me .You know you want to.

Have a great new year.

Fred, Feebee and Ellie have now been rehomed !!

progress update from Angela: 6th Dec 09

Hi everyone. I thought it was time for an update on the collie pups that I have.

Fred

Fred is the only boy in the bunch, and he is a right little star. He has grown in personality over these past few weeks. He is a very affectionate little boy who enjoys tummy rubs and cuddles as much as he loves his food. Fred loves to interact with his sisters as well as all my dogs and of course any human. He is now 10 weeks old and is ready to go to his new home .

Feebee

Feebee has come on in leaps and bounds and is the joker of the bunch. She is always the first to try anything new. She is a fabulous little girl and will steal anyone’s heart. She does the funniest little dance and bark when she thinks I’m taking too long to get her food but will then sit nicely and wait until its put down for her. Feebee is 10 weeks old now and is ready for her new home
Betty
Betty is the quietest of the bunch, it has taken her the longest to accept that we only want to love and look after her. She is a very gentle pup and would suit a quieter home where she will continue to grow in confidence. Betty loves to play with all the dogs and so maybe another dog to help show her the way would be help for her. She does enjoy cuddles and will play ball with you. Betty is 10 weeks old and is ready for her new home.
As you can read all of the pups are doing great they have come on a long way from the frightened bundles that I picked up from Helen a couple of weeks ago.
Ellie the fourth pup has already gone to her new home and is doing just fine.
All three pups are clean throughout the night and are nearly house trained in the day so come on guys who’s next ??

If you think any of these pups are for you then give Helen a call and don’t miss out on lots of love and kisses as they have so much to give.
