Well, Another Collie has come into the house !!
I thought I was the ruling Collie here and the one responsible for keeping Pippin in line.
The fool was running around the kitchen yesterday with a food bag stuck on his head.
He was trying to get the last bits of biscuits out of it right at the bottom of the bag.
He has learnt how to open the dog gate by lifting up the handle to release the catch – not bad for a non Collie type, the only thing is that everyone runs amok in the kitchen and the middle room which doesn’t go down well with Helen.
I being the sensible one go to my bed or under the table which I like and wait patiently for the mayhem to stop abruptly when Helen comes in.
I like it when it when visitors come to visit because then I get my toys thrown for me – if I can’t find a toy I bring them blades of grass and drop it in front of them it works everytime and I train them to throw this continually.
I have Mark trained quite well and when I took a chunk out of the basket in the garden that has Helen’s Catmint growing in it he stayed stum and never even mentioned it.
Of course, Helen discovered this two days later and was not best pleased and we were well and truly found out.
I have trained Mark to throw things for me for hours and hours.
This is what we Collies are good at training humans though they think it is the other way round.
This new Collie Cara is ok we are getting on quite well but I am not sharing my bed with her !!
Anyway, I have decided that I am sleeping on the black furry one in the middle room and not with the riff raff in the dog bedroom as some of the more unruly new dogs throw the blankets on the floor.

We are off out early tomorrow for our walk so a 6.00 am alarm call.
The annual Fun Dog Show is on this Sunday and Helen has loads to do once she has walked us.
We are meeting up with Hope and Claire and her other dogs for a good run over the heath.
Hopefully there will be ball throwing and hopefully ball throwing without Spike barking and barking and barking and barking – that dog can bark for England!

Getting the hang of this typing thing so please excuse mistakes.
Yesterday I learnt how to lock Helen out of her car by pushin the knob down just as she was about to open the door.
My plan was to drive us all to th beach because we were bored waiting for her while she moved boxes around in the garage.
We still got taken to the Rec for ball throwing instead of the beach so it didn’t work.
Mika spent her time chasing me chasing the ball and Pippin and Spike had their own ball because they don’t like sharing.

Today, we woke up to loads of snow, I have seen this stuff before but Mika hasn’t nor has Pippin.
Pippin being a bit of an idiot gamboled about trying to eat and catch it.
Mika who being a Kelpie is more sedate a bit like us Collies but without the neurosis calmly watched it fall and looked for a bit of tasty poo to eat.
She does this sometimes but hardly ever these days since I have put her right on this sort of behaviour ( if she thinks she is sharing a bed with me after doing that she has anothr thing coming )
Chops who was waiting for Fran to take him home with her, spent the day throwing our blankets on the floor, He also pees on the floor so they had to be washed again.
The washing machine was on all day yesterday washing all our blankets so Helen wasn’t that pleased but did say he is only a puppy so doesn’t know how to read the Rules of The Dog Room yet.

We have just been given Bonios for our supper more than Helen intended to as the box fell on the floor. We ate them quickly before she had time to pick them up so I am quite full now and ready for me sleep.

Goodnight.

Hazel has been with us for a while.
She needs someone who understands Collies.
She is good with other dogs in the house once she has had half an hour to get used to them.
Excellent off the lead will fetch and drop a ball for hours.
Hazel is very affectionate once she trusts you.
She is good with cats and small animals.
Hazel will be starting her own diary soon as she has learnt to write and also learnt how to lock Helen out of her car since being with the rescue.
She is a bit of a favourite at Helen’s house she just endears herself to you once she knows you.

Holly is in long-term rehab at the Rescue
