Table-top sale at the Candle Jar – update!


Kayleigh and Nicky organised a table top sale with raffle and tombola outside
The Candle Jar in Winton and raised an amazing amount of
£335.00 for the rescue!
Friends and family baked cakes to sell and donated items for the raffle and tombola.
Thank you to both of them and Pam who helped on the day and also thank you to Claire who owns The Candle Jar and let us set up outside her shop and who also donated some of her candles to the raffle!

progress update: 1/10/12

Helen just a quick update on the terrible two.
As you can see they love the sun.
Here they are sitting on our new oak floor soaking up the rays.
They had their jabs this week as well.
They are both doing really well and have made many friends with all the
tradesmen who have worked on the project.
I will send another of Alfie that will melt your heart when you see it.

progress update: 8/4/12

Helen, just a quick note to let you know how Holly & Alfie are getting on.
They are both in very good health.
We had a scare with Alfie when he hoovered up a chicken bone accidently dropped on the floor.
We had a visit to the emergency vets with him on a Sunday with him, lucky he is insured.
Holly is still so very cute if not a bit highly strung.
Alfie is the soft dopey one who has developed a liking for lying on his back when I pick him up.
I have to hold him on his horizontally massaging his back.
It has to be seen to be believed.
We have all taken hundreds of photos of them of which I have sent you a few.
I see that you have a load more dogs up for adoption I hope you can find good homes for them.
Holly and Alfie have certainly made our life much richer, and anyway whats a lawn who needs one ?

New Forest Marathon Update

Jane, Jeremy and Chris ran in the New Forest Marathon on Sunday to
raise money for Dawgdogs which turned into a rainy downpour day.
Jeremy still ran in the dog costume which by the time he got to the
finish line was soaked and heavy.

DAWGdogs Dog Show Update

The Dawgdogs Dog Show was a great success again this year even though it rained on and off throughout the day.
Thank you to all that attended with their dogs and also to Kate for organising it,
Pat and Nigel for once again letting it take place on their farm and to all
the wonderful volunteers who helped on the day.

We would also like to thank all those that donated items for the
auction and raffle prizes.

We raised £2.192 which is fantastic!!

Flo has now found a home !!

Hi Helen just though I would send you an update on Flo now I know her a little better,
she really is the sweetest natured little dog,
she loves everyone and does her best to please,
shes wonderful in the house, fantastic in the car, loves her walks,
and also likes to potter about in the garden, but most of all she
just wants cuddles and fuss, she really is a little treasure.

New Forest Half Marathon Sunday 23rd September

Jane, Jeremy and Chris will be running the New Forest Half Marathon on Sunday, 23rd September, 2012 in aid of DAWG Dogs.
