Lucky & Domino

Lucky & Domino have now found a home !!

Lucy and Domino’s owner has passed away and they were taken in by a couple.
Unfortunately, the lady has developed an allergy to their fur and can longer keep them.

We are looking for a home together for Lucky and Domino as they have spent all their life together.
They are older dogs.

Lucky is the black female lab cross and Domino is the black and white male spaniel cross.
They are both up to date with their jabs.
Have a wonderful temperment, love children and are surprisingly good with cats.

Bhuna & Bella

Bhuna & Bella have now found a home !!

Bhuna is a golden retriever and has a cream coloured coat.
He is very loving and loves other dogs.
When he is out for a walk he has to say hello to all dogs and really enjoys his walks.
He loves muddy puddles!
You only have to put your arms out and Bhuna will come and give you a cuddle.
He is 3 years old.
Once he had had his walk he will settle and sleep very easily (a bit lazy I think).
He is my best friend and I will miss him so much but due to work commitments I have to rehome him.

Bella is a black Labrador and is 4 years old.
She is very obedient and loves people and other dogs (although she prefers a tennis ball).
Bella will fetch a ball all day long and will come back to you as soon as you call her.
She is very loving and will always want to be the centre of attention.
She settles well after a walk and enjoys being around all human beings!.
Due to work commitments I have to say goodbye to Bella and I will miss her very much.

Billy

Billy has now found a home !!

progress update: 18/06/2016

He has settled in perfectly with the other two now.
He is getting better off the lead, we have been doing some one on one whistle training with him and he is taking it on board.
He is not spending so much time on tables and worktops!
He has the most loving nature and is brilliant with kids and other dogs

Cara & Candy

BOTH REHOMED !!

progress update on Cara: 18/06/2016

Cara update – we adopted Cara a month ago.
She’s still a bit nervous around people and other dogs but she’s getting much better.
Turns out she has grass allergies but she absolutely loves the beach so is getting plenty of runs down there.
Cara comes to work with me every day, due to her cute factor she’s receiving a whole lot of attention from her fast growing adoring fan club.
She’s such a beautiful, intelligent little monkey and we’re very lucky to have found her and be able to give her a new family

Our annual DAWG show is not far away – can you help us with prizes?
We need bottles, raffle prizes and auction lots.
Suggestions for auctions lots could include weekends away, restaurant vouchers, garage services, pamper days etc.
We still have lots of Bric-a-brac to sell so no more this year thank you!
If you can help with any of the above, please contact Helen at the Rescue 01202 380467 or Kate 07990 614091 or message DAWGdogs on Facebook.

Update from Helen

I am so very happy today because Chester who has been with us for nearly 16 months has gone off to his new home.
He has gone to live with Debbie who has been with the Rescue since its beginning and she is going to bring him on at her place where he can have one to one encouragement.
Chester is in the best of homes.
I will miss him but am delighted.

Frankie is off to live with Graham one of our lovely vets and his family.

Well today has been eventful here at DAWGdogs…. I was up early to pick up dogs at 4.00 am – two lovely Collies and a pretty Lurcher.
Teddy went off to his home, one of our new foster families came to pick up Cyber one of the Collies,
Two more lovely Lurchers arrived – both need fattening up.
Chester found a home at last and then one of the new Lurchers nearly gave me a heart attack by doing a disappearing act.
After I had driven all round Parkstone looking for him I came back home to find that he had tried to jump my 7 foot fence and had got behind the water butt , the tree and the fence posts I have in the corner of the dog run.
He couldn’t be seen and it was the first place I looked !!
If he hadn’t whined so I knew he was there everyone one would of been on red alert and out looking for him.
Just finished washing down the dog run for the umpteenth time because of course they all have loose motions…..
Soon off to the vet with Zak and Mia.
I now have 10 dogs here so if anyone has been thinking of fostering then please step forward smartish :)
Photos will follow soon of the new arrivals!
