Pepa

This is Pepa who came from Ireland.

She is 7 months old and has a sweet temperament.
Pepa is now living with a couple who homed Oscar the terrible terrier from us several years ago.

Oscar has realised that now a female has joined the household that he better mend his previous wayward ways and that toys are to be shared and are not his sole property.
He is adjusting well to the new regime set down by Pepa!!

Banjo

This is Banjo,

a diabetic dog we took on 3 months ago.

He has now been rehomed with a retired gentleman who had recently lost his companion Guiness and was lost without a friend.

The rescue is still supporting the costs of Banjo’s insulin and will continue to do so.
Any donations to Banjo’s vet bills can be sent to the rescue.

We will shortly be setting up a sponsorship scheme for dogs like Banjo,

so if you would be prepared to give a small amount each month to

help to contribute towards Banjo’s treatment

please contact Helen for more details

Samba

“She has now completed a Puppy Training class and will shortly start a Good Manners class before moving on to Agility training as soon as she is 12 months old.

She is full of life, has a great deal of spirit (sometimes seen as a wicked streak!) and as far as our 6 year old greyhound lurcher is concerned has graduated from being a pain in the backside to being a best friend.

She’s lovely!!!”

Toby

“Toby came to us in November as a thin, dirty and nervous dog. He found us when we went to Helen’s. He came over to my small daughter and gave us his paw. We knew straight away that he would fit in well with our family.

He is very much an outdoor dog and likes to sit in the boot of my estate in all weathers. He has a day bed outside so he can sunbathe in luxury. We live in a semi rural place and Toby loves his walks both on the roads and in the countryside. He has learnt to enjoy going in the river for a swim and loves runs down to the beach. When we first got Toby it was clear that he hadn’t ever played before but we have taught him to chase and fetch back plastic water bottles and corks! He loves to chase a cork and throw it up in the air. He does some great back flips.

Toby is a lovely little dog. He loves nothing better than to be with us and the children. At night he jumps up and sits on our laps for a stroke and a cuddle. He is a great fly catcher, hunting down bluebottles and spiders and eating them afterwards.

He loves to lie on his back and wriggle about when he is inside. he makes some very funny noises especially when he’s weeing on the ivy! He adores being brushed and patted and is keen on having a go when we are drying the childrens hair after swimming, racing in close to the hairdryer and muscling in on the action.

He has loads of doggy friends and is a fantastic companion.

He’s a great little dog.

Thanks!”
