Basil the JRT

Basil has now found a home !!

progress update: 30/07/2014

Basil has been getting his paws under the table at his foster home apart from when the cat batts him one as he walks past it.
If he went to a home with cats it would have to be a bruiser like the cat he is staying with now.
Anyone more timid and he may be tempted to chase it.
The dog who has graciously agreed to share his home with Basil until he finds a new home is also called Basil which makes it easier for his foster Mum when calling them in from the garden as she sort of gets two for the price of one when they answer her!

He is very cuddly whether you want a cuddle or not.
A really good chap and we cannot understand how he found himself in a dog pound on Deathrow.
Still, he is safe with us now and quite pleased he avoided the last rites and breakfast.
The Gallows weren’t looking too enticing to him either !!

Basil

JRT around 8 to 12 months old, very scared in kennels, but once out he is a lovely honey monster, just wants fuss all the time, climbs on your lap, snuggles into you, very inquisitive, pretty boy, wee’d on lucie, poor lucie!
Gave me little kisses, rubs himself up against you like a cat, such a silly soppy boy.

Willow (one of Dani’s pups)

REHOMED

progress update: 30/7/2014

Hi Helen
Milo, Willow’s big brother and ‘top dog’ in our pack, is busy showing Willow around the puppy exercise field.
Willow will be 17 weeks old on Thursday. She is wonderful. Her training is coming along ‘slowly’ due to her
other brother Sky (aka Dooley of Dooley’s Diary) teaching her 1 or 2 naughty ways. Darling Willow is earning her
keep by teaching her new sister Ellie how to play. We have had Ellie for 1 year now, she was afraid of her own
shadow and agoraphobic when she first arrived – now she plays and swims in the river with Milo, Sky & Willow.
Willow learned to swim at 15 weeks old – so proud !!!! I will send photos of them all swimming soon.
Please say a big thank you to Dani who is Willows Mum and to her foster carer Jane and two lovely daughters
who gave Willow such a loving, healthy start in life. Don’t you think Willow looks just like her Mum Dani – lovely!
More pics to follow soon,
Love Marilyn & Mike

Willow has now found a home !!

Pippa the JRT

Pippa has now found a home !!

Pippa. 3 year old JRT.

Likes walks and sleeps well.. Likes Treats and lots of fuss. .looks for constant affection.
Likes to go for walks but not great on a lead, she is better on a harness, until she has more training/walking on lead..
Pippa needs general training, she will sit when she wants to play with other dogs and can be very excited when out walking,
she needs a strong hand to keep hold of her…
she is a very loveable dog …
She would be better in a home with older children or no children

Fahan

progress update: 03/07/2014

Fahan has now found a home !!

progress update: 26/06/2014

Fahen is a very gentle dog who has settled with me extremely well and is very anxious to please
She has a lovely temperament
She can be nervous around sudden noise and is much more confident with another dog to keep her company.
I have let her off the lead and she is starting to respond very well even though she does not know her name. She has been neutered this week and is starting to recover – it has proved a little more painful for her.
She is clean in the house and her only possible fault I have found is she likes to rummage for possible tit bits!

Fahan is a brindle colour, rough coated Lurcher girl about 18 months old.
She is gentle, quiet and loves other dogs and people.
Fahan is fostering with Yvonne who says she has settled down in no time at all.
We will have photos of Fahan in the next few days.

If you may be able to offer a home or would like more details

please contact Helen directly on:

We usually only rehome within approx. 50 miles of the Bournemouth / Poole area
so that we can ensure the continued well-being of the dogs in our care.
We will only rehome further afield if the homes are exceptional.
We are NOT looking for just ANY home that is offered.
All potential homes will be assessed to try and ensure the best possible home
to cater for the differing needs of each individual dog that we rescue

Lassie the younger

Lassie has now found a home !!

Lassie is a Collie about two years old.
She has settled in well at Geoff’s with his dogs.
She was a little nervous at first but has come on well.
Probably better with older children .
More to follow as she settles.
