Thank you Pets at Home!!

We would all like to say a huge Thank You to Chris, everyone

at Pets at Home, Branksome and all their customers

who gave so generously in the recent Support Adoption for Pets fundraiser.

A massive £500 was raised!

It is a tremendous help for us towards our vet bills and care of the rescue dogs.

Foxes thank emergency vets at Walton Lodge and Afrivets !

 

It has been a Foxy week this last week with three cubs arriving and today an adult Fox with a foreign object in between his toes.
Removed and cleaned up by emergency vets this evening.
Antibiotics given along with painkiller and now safely installed in a large crate so we can monitor he is eating well before release on Tuesday back to where he came from.
Two cubs came in last Sunday one with conjunctivitis and the other with a prolapsed bowel.
Now both doing well and hope to release the one with eye problem back to his family.
The other cub arrived Thursday and in spite of attempts to find the place where her family live we had no success with this.
She will be living with another cub until we can soft release them both late August.

The cubs don’t keep still enough for photos but will try to get a couple.
Thank you to the emergency vets based at Walton Lodge who have been marvellous and also Afrivets who have put up with my endless phone calls to them this week for advice!

Dog Show Thank You !!

Thank you to Kate for organising a great DAWGdogs Show again this year.

Thank you to everyone who helped on the day,

those that made cakes,

the businesses who donated Auction lots,

everyone who donated Raffle prizes, bottles for the bottle stall, bric n brac etc.

Thank you also to The Friendly Dog Club who put on a a wonderful display,

My’n’ers Cider for bringing Moby Dick the Steam Roller,

Stephanie for taking great photos as always and all of those that came along to support us

.

 

It was great to see so many DAWGdogs again this year and meet many others of the dogs and their people who came on the day

.

Thank you Debbie & Ian !!

Debbie and Ian were married last week and Dotty a DAWGdog was the ringbearer.
Debbie with her Mum Glen have been doing the weekly car boot to raise money for the last 20 odd years and firstly I want to thank her and Glen for their loyal support and all their hours they have spent in the cold, rain and sunshine every Sunday.
Thank you to Ian too who patiently waits for a space to be cleared in their house as Debbie sorts out the donated items.

Secondly, I would like to thank Debbie and Ian who asked their guests at the wedding to not buy presents but instead donate to DAWGdogs.
Debbie and Ian have just let me know that they have raised an amazing £510.00
