So Scooby Doo was 3 on Sunday!
This Beastie Boy is the loveliest of dogs with such a pure soul, and a real goofball too!
He makes our lives even happier and we couldn’t love him more.
He gives this love 100 times back.
Everyone should have a Scooby Doo in their life!
Happy birthday Scooby!

Hi Helen, hope all is well! Update on what Scooby Doo has been up to:
So I took Scooby Doo to his first activity class which includes fun agility, fun rally, Tellington TTouch ground work for proprioception, etc.
He really kept the flag flying for lurchers and I can honestly say that he was one of the best behaved dogs there!
He tried everything and even managed the scary high ramp after 3 attempts!
What was lovely for me was to see that all the hard work I put in him for the last 2 and a half year completely paid off,
and that he is really determined, focused on me and really put all his trust in me..
He was allowed a McDonald’s chip from his human brother’s birthday breakfast as a reward and has now been asleep on the sofa for two hours solid, in true lurcher style! Love this boy so much
A few pics to follow.. xx

Thanks Dawgdogs for letting us have our goofball.
We adore him

Today is two years since our Scooby Doo arrived in our lives. What amazing two years!
From this little shy 12 week old black Bambi I met in his foster home to this loyal, loving, beautiful, regal and full of confidence, happy, perfect dog.
I never imagined having this goofball with us would be that much fun and joy, and that he would bring so much happiness to our family.
He makes our family complete and the love we have for him, he unconditionally returns hundredfold on a daily basis.
Scooby Doo, thank you for being this awesome pure soul that spreads love and joy all around you.
You are our very special Beastie Boy, our Scoobinator, and we couldn’t love you more

Scooby Doo’s first camping trip :)
He loved it and like an over tired toddler, he collapsed in the tent as soon as his head touched the bed! ZZZ
Nothing this lovely beast doesn’t take in his stride

DAWGdog Scooby Doo is enjoying long summer walks, usually at the beach, but today, he did some amazing zoomies in the tall grass!

Hi all, here’s an update on Scooby Doo (aka Charlie, rehomed).
Scooby has been with us for nearly 8 weeks and he’s completely part of the furniture.
He is an absolute joy to have around and I am now completely lurcher mad!
He knows our household’s routine very well (for example he takes himself to his crate/den in the morning when he sees me getting ready for work, bless him!), he loves having visitors over and gives them lots of kisses, but he also knows when it’s time to give up his space on the sofa.
He loves going to puppy classes and responds very well to new challenges and learns very quickly.
His favourite place is the beach and seeing him zooming up and down in the sand is wonderful and makes everyone we meet there smile.
He makes friends with other dogs very easily too and recall is fab.
You can tell I’m in ❤, can’t you? Here’s a photo of him taken about 10 days ago at his favourite place.

Scooby Doo says happy new year to all his friends (of the furry and non furry sort) and hopes that 2016 brings a loving home to all the furry boys and girls still in rescue

 Hi Helen,
Thank you for picking us to have Charlie (my son has decided that he will be called Scooby-Doo, or Scooby in short).
Here is a little update: he was petrified when we first walked into our house and was shaking like a leaf.
He took a shine to my son Erwan, so we managed to calm him down a bit.
After about an hour, we settled on the sofa and he slept for a couple of hours.
When he woke up he was a different dog: got toys out of the basket, ate some of his dinner, and gave me lots of kisses.
We did a bit of crate training with treats and that went very well, he already knows quite a few commands so we practiced these as well.
He asked three times to go out to the toilet, so no accident in the house!
Kelly has done a fantastic job with him and we will build on this.
I’ve booked him in to the vet for Thursday afternoon.
I have put a few pics on the Dawg Facebook page, and will send an update in a few days :)
Best wishes
Steph

update from Charlie’s foster home:

Charlie has settled in really well.
He loves to play with our two Jack Russell’s and gets on well with ours cats.
He doesn’t chase or harass them, in fact he curls up and sleeps with them!
He plays well with the children too (5 & 12 years old) and loves to fetch the ball and play tug of war.
He does need to be reminded about keeping paws on the floor, but he is still young and learning.
He is nervous of new people when he first meets them but that doesn’t last long.
He happily toilets outside, even in the rain.
We have had a couple of accidents indoors, but that aside his toilet training is coming along nicely.
He knows his name already and comes when he is called.
He’s not a big fan of the crate but we are working on that daily.
He’s a quick learner and has learnt the sit, paw and down commands in just a few days.
With patience and training this lovely boy really is going to be a super dog.
He’s so affectionate and loving and loves being made a fuss of!
