progress update: 30/1/24

Just to let you know Ghost is getting better by the day.
He has teamed up with Runa and started training classes.
He’s a cheeky chap but is settling in really well.

progress update: 11/12/23

Ghost is bright, intelligent and learns new commands quickly.
Sometimes Rover would rather be left to follow scents on his own but is always patient and tolerant of him.
Ghost is fostering with Carol now who has for years trained assistance dogs.
We felt he needed more attention and time put into his training to keep his clever mind occupied.
Being half Collie and half Poodle he has two very intelligent breeds in his mix.
He still comes with me and the other dogs for a walk eveyday.
He now sleeps on his own at night, and apart from a couple of whines on the first night is quiet.
Considering he came into us with seperation anxiety he has settled amazingly well.

Ghost has been with us for a few weeks now and is settling down into life here very well.
Typical puppy who is active and then falls asleep in an instant.
As you can see from these photos, he was one minute playing with a blanket that was in the wash pile, then dead asleep with it in his mouth.
Ghost will sit and lie down when asked.
When off lead in an enclosed area he loves to chase a ball -not so good at handing it over.
Instead hopes a game will ensue with me chasing him in circles.
Missy does this game with him instead.
Ghost will not grow to Collie size rather more the height of Spaniel.

Ghost is a four month old Collie cross Miniature Poodle.
In the last eight weeks he has had three homes before coming into the Rescue.
At first he was unsettled and quite noisy – poor thing; I am not surprised after so many changes in his life.
He is settling in really well as he is very bright, intelligent and full of puppy enthusiasm.
