Maisie

NOW REHOMED !!

progress update: 15/05/2016

Just to let you know that Daisy is doing really well.
She has slept right through the night from outset with no bother at all.
I’ve weaned her off tinned food, so she is just having dried food now.
We go to the vet on Wednesday. She is great with Olly and other children but still barking at other dogs of her size and bigger.
She has got to know a few smaller dogs (on the lead) without much fuss. We’ll try the bigger ones later.
I know that there are dog socialisation classes which meet outside in the forest.
I’m hoping that the vet can tell me of one locally.
She is brilliant with her ball (actually we use two) and it gives her a proper work out up and down our long garden.
This morning, she was chasing around the garden on her own – I guess it’s the collie in her – enjoying the sunshine.
As I am typing this, she is stretched out on the floor at my feet, with one ear open.
I gave her name on the phone to the vet earlier and she came straight to me!
I left her yesterday morning for 40 minutes on her own (she’d had a good walk first) and she was fine.
We are working at keeping her off the sofa – she is pretty good if we are around but will not miss a chance if we are not looking!
At least we can shut the door on the sitting room when we are not in there.
She has also spent time with my mum and seems happy at either location.
She is just happy being with people.

Maisie has now found a home !!

progress update: 11/05/2016

From Sue – Maisie’s foster Mum :-

Who can resist this little girl?
Hope she finds a home soon

Had a good day with Maisie, she has been great in car, let her off lead and she was perfect, came back every time.
Does not like dry food at present but as you can see loves tin food.
She’s my second perfect princess.

Maisie been out and about today, and met lots of dogs.
She has been extremely well behaved.

Maisie had a good first night, she did come upstairs when we all went to bed to give us all kisses but then took herself back to bed where she stayed all night. Great in the car.

Maisie arrived last Saturday and has gone to stay with Sue until a home is found for her.
She is around two years of age and as you can see has settled in well.
Maisie is not good with cats but has met a horse and was fine.
