Jack has found a home !!

progress update on Chloe from her fosterers Colin & Angela: 2nd Sep 09

Hi Helen .
Chloe is the sweetest pup going she is EVERYTHING you
would want in a pup .
She is crate trained at night and if I go out in the day
she will complain for about 5mins then just settle down and go for her
sleep ,Chloe will cry to get let out in the night if she needs the
toilet.
She is 75/80 percent clean in the day , she will sit
when asked before she has her food, she couldn’t care less if any of
my other dogs eat from her bowl with her and
she takes her treats so gently from you.

Chloe LOVES her cuddles whether it be with one of our
other dogs or one of us humans. Chloe plays plays plays then goes for
her sleep she is the easiest pup I’ve ever had in all the years I’ve
been fostering .

Chloe is now 11 weeks old and her forever home is
missing out on so much of this fun time when pups are finding out who
they are and all the mischief they get up to until they know what is
right and wrong.

AND believe me she makes us laugh every day with her antics !

Two young  Staffy  pups.

One is a brindle boy and the other is a red girl.

Very well socialised since birth with
adults and children and since arriving at the rescue to stay with ann
on her smallholding now also socialised with other dogs
and chickens, horses, a pig and turkeys!

If you can provide a good home please contact Helen

on 01202 380467 or email helen@dawgdogs.net

We usually only rehome within approx 30miles of the Bournemouth / Poole area
so that we can ensure the continued well-being of the dogs in our care.
We will only re-home further afield if the homes are exceptional.
We are NOT looking for just ANY home that is offered.
All potential homes will be assessed to try and ensure the best possible home
to cater for the differing needs of each individual dog that we rescue.

Zara

Zara has been successfully rehomed !!

progress update: 21st Aug 09

Hi Helen,
It’s Zara here, just to give you an update on my new life.
I am getting on really well, and get taken for a walk to the local pond every day for a swim.
My new owners are looking after me, though I do feel much lighter these days,
and haven’t had a sniff of a roast dinner since i’ve been here!
I’ve enclosed a picture so you can see my progress, although Mum says it has been taken from a very
flattering angle!
They do get narked when i try to sit on their telephone table to look out of the window though!
Squiff and I are really looking forward to seeing you at the dog show in September,
is there a fat fighters prize?! Don’t know what she means by that?!

Thanks for all your help Helen, I am very happy here.
Zara X
p.s. I have sent a picture of my new dawgdog brother,
he seems very nice but he’s very lazy!

progress update: 30th July 09

Hi,
I have attached a pic of Zara with Clifford (Squiff).
As you can see they have settled in well together!
It may be nice for the people in Ireland?
best regards, Kelly and Carl

ZARA has now found a home !!

This is Zara, she’s ten [ 11 in August ] & as gentle as a lamb,
good with everyone here dogs & cats, & she just oozes love.
She’s spotlessly clean in the house, &
is clean all night, not able to go for walks,
but she’s active & would make an ideal companion for an older person.

Ellie and her pups ( Izzie and Taz )

Ellie and her pups have now been rehomed !

progress update on Taz: 21st Aug 09

progress update on Izzie: 27th July 09

Izzie is now living with Kevin and Nicky who fostered her, and also DAWGdog Buster !

progress update: 8th June 09

Ellie has now found a home with Joy and Alan who had a dog from us many years ago.
She will be enjoying holidays and camping !!

Ellie is a young dog about a year old.
She was originally a stray taken in by someone in Ireland until she had her puppies.
The person who had taken her in decided that they didn’t want her anymore and handed her in with the puppies.
She is very sweet natured – a little bit overwhelmed at the moment but she is settling in at her new foster home

progress update: 15th Aug 09

Thomas has now found a home !!

Thomas is 8 months old, very good with other dogs and has bundles of energy.
He loves to swim especially when chasing seagulls.
He will need a home where he will have a good walk everyday and would possible suit a home
where there is an energetic boy to keep him occupied.
He is what we at the rescue call a den dog born to explore and help a child build dens.

Thomas is a rough-coated terrier mix

He is a very nice dog with lots of energy and gets on very well with other dogs

Bennie

Bennie has been successfully rehomed !!

progress update from Bennie: 13th Aug 09

Hi Helen

It’s me Bennie

Wow its great here

I’m not sure but Sophie thinks I’m a Hobbit as you can see from the
photo I get second breakfast.

I’ve discovered this big wet and sandy thing too and I love it.

I can run and jump and play with all sorts of other dogs.

I have been for a paddle but I’m a little scared of the big wavy wet
thing though.

Hey ho off for third breakfast

Hope you are ok

I’ll see you soon maybe while I’m on walkies

Woof Bark Purr (This other funny looking dog I live with purrs a lot)

progress update: 15th May 09

Hi Helen

Life here is really fun.
Lots of attention and lots of treats
I’ve discovered this thing called walkies which is real fun.
I got to see and meet some other dogs and look at all sorts of stuff that
makes noise but I wasn’t bothered.
When I get home I’m really tired and flop on my bed.
Apparently I’ve got the vets Saturday which sounds fun and tonight I went
for a test drive in the back of a land rover with Chloe and Sophie.
WOW that was scary at first but after a while and some chocolate I stood up
and watched where I was going.
Oh well hey ho my dinner calls.
C U soon
Bennie

progress update: Apr 20th 09

Hi Helen
Well after you left I stayed in my cage for a while cos I felt safe
but I was tempted out by some really tasty doggy chews.

The nice people left me alone for a while cos I think they knew I was a little
shy and a bit scared.
I then decided to explore a little and walked anywhere I liked.

I slept well all night on my new super soft doggy bed and had a chew of
some of my new toys. Because they had been so nice to me I did my
stuff on the paper they left for me.

When I saw them first thing in the morning I was a little shy and a little excited.

I had some fantastic breakfast and then I went outside to explore and play.

They ignored me for a while and I could do whatever I wanted.

I made a new friend too. A funny looking dog that purrs
and is called Smokey.

Anyway its all going well and I think I’m going to like it here.

I’ll write soon :-)
Bennie

Bennie has now found a new home !!

Today Helen and Jane picked me up and took me back to the rescue.
I took a while to catch as I have not met many people before and am used
to living outside in a very small area of space.
I was terrified at first.
When I got to the rescue I was given a bath to get some of the dirt out of my coat.
I liked it when I was dried with a towel and started to relax a bit.
Jane took me home to her place to meet her family and Ozzy the dog that lives there.
He told me he was a rescue once and had a terrible life but life is good now and will be for me
too soon.
Jane and her family are kind to me and their garden is huge, I
didn’t know that there could be so much space to explore.
I am a Collie so it is in my breed to run and burn off energy I’ve just never had
the chance to do this before.Jane told Helen I am doing quite well and
she has put a cage for me to go into whenever I start to feel
overwhelmed by it all.
There is a blanket in it and the door is left open for me all the time, it feels safe in the cage a bit like a den.

I ate my food from a clean dish and it was the best meal I have ever eaten.
Lots of people have visited the house today and I am gradually getting used to a busy household.

If you think that you may be able to provide

a good home
