NuNu

NuNu has now found a home !!

progress update: 29/8/12

Just a quick update on this darling little dog, she grows in confidence every day,
she is clean in the house and as yet we haven’t heard her bark.
Nu nu loves her walks and is now spending a lot of her walk “off lead” where she is a little happier to greet other dogs.
Needs brushing every day which she seems to think is one big cuddle.
She is a very loyal little dog and would fit into any family with or without
other dogs

progress update: 22/8/12
NuNu went out for a long walk today (2hrs) and was a really good girl on the lead,
she met lots of dogs but just hid behind me till she has built her confidence,
she is getting on great with the three she is sharing a home with and just loves to be brushed,
will hop onto your lap at any time

Dear Aunty Helen, have settled well with my foster mummy although one
of her dogs is very scary, you know the little one with no hair.
I think she may be jealous as i have a beautiful coat which they have brushed and combed all day(how pretty do i look) and of course she is
hairless!
I ve been out for a walk a walked nicely on my harness and went a calling to have a beer.
I am overcoming my nerves and even ventured a little play.
Will let you know how i get on with the other two dogs when we have spent more time together.
nite nite xx

  1. I have met Nu Nu walking with Pat this morning. Think I have fell in love with her. My two seemed to think she was Ok too. Lester my little Norfolk Terrier 3 and little Missey my 13 year old cross chihuahua/pom.

  2. Hello Helen,we have a rescued border collie for two years now. From Dorset Dog rescue.Which my daughter named him as Bono,as from Ireland.
He arrived to us not much bigger than a fox.A very scared little lad.Who had been through a lot,and was on death row over there!
Bono is approxiametely fours years old now.He is a very good looking boy.(Which often people mistake for a girl!)
He is very much part of our family. He is well loved and cared for.He is a extremely sweet natured loving boy.
We are looking to get him a friend to help with confindense.Bono has not been done on vets advice. He is a friendly dog.We would love to get him a little friend such as Nu Nu or possibly Ruby.
We do not have a garden, but do have access to areas close to us for walks. We are active family. We used to have a labrador/collie who was a big dog.You could anywhere with him.Alas with Bono he lacks confidense to go everywhere!Does not like crowds, motor bikes, bangs, fog horns ect.Our children have grown up.Though still at home!My son who has autism would dearly love to be able to walk a dog like our previous one. However,Bono gets scared with him,and will only go if with me or wife as well.We would like a house trained dog as Bono was supposed to have been! But was not at all!
Bono is brilliant now in the house and travels really well in the car.He is a good watch dog and does his best to guard.
We all really love him,he has brought such a joy to us all after losing our previous dog.
But we would love get him a friend. We feel he would benfit from it,and we all would like to give another rescued dog a home.
(Ps You rehomed Domino with my sister family a few years a go.Mr and Mrs Burton)
    Kind Regards,
    Steve Bucke

  4. Hi Helen ,Nunu(now lulu) has settled in nicely with Lester and Missey. She enjoys her daily brush.
It’s probably a good job she didnt go to live with Bono as she is in season, so she cant be spayed for awhile yet.
She loves going for her walks, and can’t wait to be able to let her off the lead.
Little Lester loves his walks to see if anyone will give him more treats, but Lulu loves her walks because she loves all the smells on the way.Maybe if I can see how to send a pic on here I will send one of the three together.
