I rehomed Willow from you 7 years ago. Now she’s rescuing a kitten.
Little guys mum disappeared last Sunday so I’ve taken him on and he will then live with my sister.
Willow looks after him though!

Quick Carrie update as she’s been here a couple of weeks..
She had her first trip to the pub yesterday and was the perfect lady.
As you can see from the pictures, she was making herself at home and is child friendly too.
Shes got quite a prey drive so no small ferries, other than that shes perfect in every way, she really is delightful
She absolutely loves men by the way!!

Following the photo of Carrie which was taken upon her arrival to the Rescue a month ago,
we are so pleased to be able to share these pics taken today
she has gained weight and her wounds have healed nicely
amazing what some TLC can achieve

Poor Carrie arrived to us in not a good state of health.
Covered in scars with a few open wounds and very thin as well.
In the last few weeks her wounds have healed, she is putting on weight and become more confident.
We will post more recent photos this week.
This is one that was taken soon after she arrived.

Hello we just wanted to share our news, our Bruce pictured next to Stuart had been unwell and we thought he might have diabetes.
We were referred to Southern Counties Vet in Ringwood on Wednesday and after a very emotional day he has been diagnosed with Cushing’s Syndrome. Like many people who had no idea about this illness. But relieved to know with the correct dosage of medication he will continue to live and full and active life,
We thank everyday we spend with our two Kelpie rescues from DAWGDOGS and thank you Helen for all your support and for trusting us to take care of our beautiful pair

Rodg is doing so well and settling into our home!
His separation anxiety has got so much better.
We’ve managed to leave him for about 3 hours without him stressing!
He just sleeps! Xx

Mum and dad got Molly from you just over 3 years ago.
She has come so far!
Still can’t be let off the lead due to being a naughty terrier!
But she is such a fab little dog, she has become such a lovely dog and is part of the family now
The following is an account of what happened to a DAWGdog owner this morning:
“I was walking * towards the rugby field on Hardy crescent and a silver 4×4 bibed it’s horn and I turned to see if I knew who it was, I didn’t so I carried on walking across the field. When I got to the other side of the road the car was there, they wound down the window so I asked if they needed any help, the guy just started asking loads of questions about * and I started to get a bit worried, then he asked me if I wanted to sell “the dog”. I shouted no and started to walk away and they started to reverse the car towards me, so I ran.
There was a man in his 50s with balding head, white fair skinned and a heavy stature, the woman of similar age had dark hair but she was wearing a dark face mask.
The car was like a hilux with a solid shell on the back, silver in colour with 2 names on the back passenger side. Either jonny and jody or Charlie and jody.
I reported to the police when I got back home.”

Felix is a gentle loving boy, he enjoys going for his walks and having a good sniff.
He likes to meet other dogs but can get a bit excited.
We are working on his recall but at the moment it is very selective and will need a lot more work before he can go off lead.
He may scent mark in the house so careful introduction to new areas would be advised.
He has gained confidence with men but is nervous of sudden movements.
He loves food and will take any opportunity to get more and has a very good reach!
His favourite thing is to try and climb on your lap for a good cuddle.
Sue

Felix arrived last Sunday from a dog pound.
He is around two years old and a Lurcher with Collie in his mix.
He was extremely nervous at first and very frightened of men but seems to be more relaxed now.
Below is what Sue his foster Mum has written about his progress –
Felix has had a good first night and is getting on well with Marler (Nero).
He is already gaining confidence with Andy.

Sunny – arrived on Sunday from a dog pound.
He is a little thin but will soon gain weight with the extra meals he is having.
He has been friendly and confident since he arrived and seems to love everyone he meets.
Lianne fostered him for his first night until Lisa who he is fostering with now could pick him up the next day.
Here is Lisa’s update on how he is settling in :-
Hi Helen he’s settling in lovely boy good with kids we love him
Been to Delph woods and Sunny is very good on lead and with other dogs.
He’s a little nervous when dogs approach and try to play. X
