Unfortunately, the lady Alfie went to live with has had a fall and cannot keep him.
So, he is now looking for a home again.
Below is one of his updates from the home he went to live in and who cannot keep him any longer.
We would like to home him straight from the home he is presently in so he doesn’t have too much disruption.
Helen,
Happy to say that Alfie has settled down really well.
He is such an affectionate little fellow.
At first he was a little bit scared of people but when he gets to know them he’s really pleased to see them. Still pulls a bit on the lead but is gradually slowing down.
The one thing which he is scared of is traffic but I’m working on that.
He loves playing with a tennis ball and rolling around on the lawn
As you can see, he has taken over the bed with his favourite toy.
Don’t you think he looks smart in his new harness?
He loves every one and everything, dogs and humans alike, travels well, sleep quietly in his crate at night, this little chap has a rough start and is now looking for lots of love and fuss, could use a little refresher on training
Alfie is turning out to be a loyal faithful little chap who just need his very own person to dote on and love and he will give it back in bucketfuls

NERO THE DASTARDLY DOG!
Many of the dogs we have in foster homes commit dastardly deeds such as chewing up shoes and phone chargers, scratching doors and nicking items of washing to drag around the garden.
Zero’s parting shot the evening before going to his new home may even beat Mutley’s most dastardly deed.
This is what he did :-
Geoff had been out for his teatime meet up and drink with his friends that hold Parliament at the Pub.
Later on feeling warm inside and a little tired after a hard day looking after six dogs and a horse plus a couple of hours spent deciding how the country should be run, he fell asleep on the chair in the kitchen.
On waking up he rubbed his face and realised to his surprise that his false eye had fallen out !!
He looked all around the floor before he found something in Zero’s bed that was once Geoff’s false eye but no longer something he would want to put back in, as it was now to say the least, not quite the right shape with a few bits of it missing and covered in slobber !!
The Doctor on being told this tale of woe said he had heard of dogs eating homework but never an eye.
Geoff is now awaiting delivery of a new one…..

update:
We all had a good day at the Scouts Summer Fete on Saturday.
Bones and Cookie joined us and several ex DAWGdogs came and gave their support.
Thank you to Kevin, Nicky, Jackie and Niki for helping out again this year.
Extra thanks to Nicky for organising the raffle.

The Oldies Club have often helped out DAWGdogs by featuring some of our older dogs needing homes on their website.
It would be nice to return the favour by getting as many people as possible to vote for them please;-
We are taking part in the Big Break for Charity and need lots more votes to hopefully push us into second or possibly even first place in the contest, and help us win up to £2,000 for the dogs in the care of the Oldies Club rescue. I hope that you will have a spare minute to vote for us here:
https://www.directdebit.co.uk/
DirectDebitPromotions/ BigBreak2014/Pages/ CauseDetail.aspx?CauseId=616 You can also vote by texting BIG BREAK 0616 to 78866
If you could spread the word amongst your friends and colleagues too, that would be wonderful and very much appreciated.
Thank you!Kind regards
