Poppy

NOW REHOMED !!

progress update: 20/7/13

Poppy

A quick update on Poppy – seen here relaxing on a camping weekend in the New Forest in preparation for her European tour.
She loved dashing in and out of the streams and amused us all by blowing bubbles underwater – it seemed to amuse her too as she then kept doing it in her water bowl too.

She’s finished her ‘Novice’ dog training class and was voted ‘most improved dog’ – what a star (although, to be fair, she could do most of the novice tasks already…).

We’ve lost a number of things (notably reading glasses, prom shoes…) to chewing – but it’s out fault for leaving them within reach!

She is incredibly affectionate and loves a cuddle on the sofa.

Again, thanks so much for letting us have her!

Timba and Boots

BOTH NOW REHOMED !!

Boots and Timba

Timba and Boots have now found a home together !!

progress update: 3/7/13

Just given Timba a bit of a clip (not professional ) her coat was so thick she was struggling with this heat!

Cannot believe how good these two are she just stood there whilst I clipped her,
Boots has had his beard trimmed

timbn

Timba has the nickname mamma bear as she goes around picking up the toys after the other dogs,
Boots is sleepy bear as he falls asleep all the time.
Took them to the safe play area at Slade’s Farm and what a great time they had,
they chased and played with lots of different dogs,
these two are very well socialized and very easy little dogs,
travel well and crate trained

terriers

These two are sadly a pair that need to stay together as she relies very much on him.
They are absolutely not trouble together though and actually so cute it would be a shame to part them
They are around 3 years old
Fully vaxed and neutered/spayed
Both are good with other dogs and mix with them
Timba is absolutely NOT good with chickens and ducks
Good with children
Don’t know about the “good with cats”.
Good on the lead now and loves “walkies”.
They are very cute and love cuddles and they play very well together, and they will need to be rehomed together
They are not particularly timid

Chip (a.k.a Chappo)

REHOMED

progress update: 14/7/13

chap2

Just to let you know Chip is still doing really well.
We can’t imagine not having him around he has settled in so well.
We’ve had plenty of walks and jogs around our local field and although he does still tend to run off very quickly he always comes back within a minute or so and continues to do that the entire walk.
He loves chasing with other dogs although he can be a bit too boisterous for some of them!
I have not made it to the dog classes yet.
Not sure if the lady who runs them is away.
I have left messages on her answerphone but she hasn’t replied yet.
I have attached a couple of pics of Chip so you can see how he is doing.

Best Regards
Brenda

Hi Helen , just a quick update on Chappo our new foster, he has settled in very quickly and has been very well behaved, he is very obedient and knows all of his basic commands, travelled well in the car and enjoyed his walk meeting other dogs and people, has been clean and quiet in the house.

We had a good night not a peep from him, hes a very nice temperament and is very affectionate,
loves his cuddles, he will be a great family dog.

regards
Niki

Chappo
This is Chappo who arrived this morning.
He is a friendly little chap, used to children and cats

Bonnie (a.k.a India)

Bonnie has now found a home !!

3l37atdk
Bonnie is a mixed breed medium size girl aged approximately 8 years.
She loves her walks and is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy morning and evening walks she loves children and mixes well with other dogs and is pretty laid back and enjoys being brushed.
Occasionally when on her walk and she becomes engrossed in a particularly interesting smell she can panic and run the wrong way but a quick clap of the hands reassures her and she will remember which way we are walking.
She eats well and is very good at night sleeping downstairs.
She travels well in the car which she now enjoys and becomes quite excited as a ride results in a walk.
She is not sure about cats and will chase them out of the garden, but has learned to tolerate my cats when meeting them indoors.
She has a couple of lumps be these have been checked by the Vet and she has been given a clean bill of health and will make a wonderful companion to the lucky person who chooses her.

progress update: 8th Nov 2008

Hi Helen
Have attached some pics.
Oscar and Lottie are rarely seen apart, Lottie has slotted in to the family perfectly. The two of them play all day, rolling around in the garden, churning up the grass and knocking down any plants in their way. Oscar has grown a lot since the last picture as he now has trouble staying on his favourite footstool in the sun ! Lottie has taken over though and often jumps up in to Oscars place; he is such a gentleman that he lets her get away with it !
We are all really pleased that we decided to get Oscar a friend and Lottie seems to like it here too….we have a few small issues to resolve….she is often unwilling to come back when she is called and chooses to sit 20ft away and just stare at us despite the fact that I am waving treats at her ! Oscar is lovingĀ Lotties training though as he is receiving more treats than normal just for showing off hisĀ impecable behaviour !
I hope all is going well with you. I see that you have a new influx of dogs. I hope they find good homes soon.
Thanks for everything
Polly

Cody in the swim 007

Hello Helen,

As promised, please find attached a couple of photos showing Cody swimming in Portland Harbour,
asleep with house mate Oscar and getting to know Pepper the rabbit….
his first encounters with Sammy the cat soon established that the cat was in charge…..
all well save that he has kennel cough (treatment in hand) and a few ticks which Geoff warned us about…
comes when called, travels perfectly in the car/s, sleeps without disturbing anybody and,
having left him alone at home with Oscar for a couple of short periods, appears unstressed….
still some work to do to stop him pulling when on the lead but we’re getting there….
all in all amongst the easiest of the eight dogs we have homed over the past 40+ years.

Kind regards

Paul & Hazel

Yogi has now found a home !!

Yogi is a two year old mixture off all sorts of dogs.
He gets on very well with children and other dogs and has settled well into his foster home with Geoff and his dogs.
Yogi is enjoying visits to the pub with Geoff to catch up on the latest local gossip.

Pippa settling in well,
time patience and rather a lot of leave and no words has made her accept that the cats are part of her pack,
other than that she can not be faulted for her response to commands.
A couple of photo’s when she was in a lazy mood,
she’s had a tiring day today as well as we have been at my Daughters so she has had Ziggy to play with.
Thanks for her.
Julie
