Travis

progress update: 16th Aug

Tyson is the cat who likes dogs and once brought home a stray dog.
Peter and Dorothy who Travis and Tyson live with, opened the door
to let him in one day and found not just a cat on the doorstep but a
stray dog as well.
Tyson had met him whilst on a stroll in the road and invited him back for supper.

Travis is learning that Tyson is not to be chased and today has been
introduced.
The meeting went well and we hope they will soon enjoy
evenings snuggled up together in front of the fire watching films.
Tyson is also a bit of a social cat and has several mates who come
over to his place to sunbathe on the shed roof and have a yarn.
We are not sure how Travis’s tolerance will extend to a gang of Top Cat’s
friends, especially if they all get drunk and have a sing song!

progress update: 12th Aug

Travis has a new home lined up pending the results of the homecheck,

so we wish him well !!

Travis is a 17 month old chocolate doberman.

Unfortunately his owner has cancer and so Travis is now looking for a new home.

He would prefer to be on his own with no other dogs.

Bob ( a.k.a Spike )

progress update: 16th Aug

I just wanted to give you a quick update on Spike’s progress.
Spike (aka Bob) settled very well and remarkably quickly.
He is a fantastic dog and I couldn’t have got a better friend for Pebbles.
He adores his new friend Pebbles and plays with her for the majority of everyday.
He is attending his Citizens Obedience classes and is doing fantastic and I am sure he will soon be at Gold level along with Pebbles.
He has been to a few local dogs shows where he is much loved and came 3rd in his Best Rescue Dog class.
He sure is a cheeky little monkey that loves to run around at the stables and do what dogs do best
(get very dirty!).
I will endeavour to send you some pictures in the near future.

progress update: 28th June

This week Spike went to his new home in Weymouth!

Spike is a cairn terrier cross.

He’s a lovely little dog, friendly and happy when he gets to know you.

He’s very laid back and easy going and no trouble to have around,
he hasn’t chewed anything so far not even toys that he can!!

He tends to ignore our cat and is not overly interested in our ferrets.

He is a dream to walk as he doesn’t pull and isn’t afraid of even the noisiest of cars.
He does know his name and does come back in the garden when called although I haven’t had him off the lead out walking yet.

I believe he would make a lovely dog for an older family as he doesn’t seem very playful but having said that he does have his moments and he might become more playful as time goes on.

We’ve only heard him bark once when a neighbor poked his head over the fence unexpectedly but soon made friends!!!

Thanks to Jackie, who is currently fostering Spike,

for this write-up !

[ Just to save any possible confusion with some of the Diaries entries,

this Spike is not the same Spike that is Helen’s own dog! ]

Tanner

progress update: 16th Aug

Tanner is going to his new home today !!

progress update: 12th Aug

Tanner’s blood test results were clear so now he will soon be going to

his new home in Devon with another dog and some horses !!

progress update: 7th July

Tanner is a gorgeous, four year old lurcher, who just loves everyone!

In the two weeks Tanner has been staying with me,
he has become a very loyal friend and is responding well to training.

Tanner loves children, gets on well with other dogs, and could possibly live with a cat (testing needed!)

All in all, Tanner would make a great family pet.

progress update : 28th June

Tanner is 4 years old and arrived into the rescue extremely thin,

he is now in a foster home who is working on fattening him up.

He also had blood tests and his teeth cleaned.

He is good with dogs and children.

Billy and Basil

progress update: 2nd Sep

Billy and Basil have now been re-homed !!

Billy & Basil are border terriers just over 4 years old

They have come from a good home but unfortunately now need to find a new one.

They are KC registered, micro chipped and up to date with worming and vaccinations.

They wouldn’t be ok with cats as they always chase them
but have never caught one-thankfully-and they would probably be best
without other dogs as they can get over excited around them.

They are used to children aged 4 – 8

200 chickens !

progress update: 25th July

All 200 chickens have now been rehomed !

progress update: 14th July

184 chickens to re-home!

192 chickens to re-home!

200 chickens to re-home!

progress update: 13th july

The chickens are now arriving sooner than expected!

Two hundred chickens are arriving into the rescue tomorrow

These chickens are ex-free range egg layers.

We will be looking for good homes where they will live out the rest of their lives in comfort.

Anyone able to offer homes should phone
