progress update: 24/3/12
Harry is ten months old micro chipped , castrated and vaccinated.
He is a tall dog with the most lovely wavy coat, he enjoys a good romp with the other dogs we meet out and playing fetch and splashing in the river.
He is house trained and sleeps in his crate over night without a peep
Travels well in the car. He will need some more training to walk politely on the lead, he is only a pup still.
He is unsure of what to make of the cats often trying to get them to play this ends up with him barking at them .
Due to his size I think he would be better with children over eight.
He is a loving dog that would be a great in an active family as he has boundless energy.

Hi Helen
Just a little update on Harry.
He is 10 months old with lovely long legs that should be on a super model.
He is house trained and sleeps in his crate over night .
He travels well in the car, very social with other dogs when out on a walk and at home he is living with my two girls and his foster brother Arty.
He is good off lead and enjoys playing ball too.

progress update:
Hi Helen just a quick update on Jacob aka Jack, well so far since his arrival this little chap has not put a paw wrong.
He’s quiet and clean in the house, happy to go in his crate day or night, travels fine, loves his walks, good with other dogs,
has great recall, we are already off lead on day 3, he really is a pleasure to look after, he would be better suited to older
children age 9 and above, as he is a little nervous if there is a lot of noise.
Regards
Niki

Jack, A two year old Terrier who is good with dogs, children and cats.
More to follow as we get to know him better.

Update for Helen, Carli had the op to pin her leg and has been a very good patient.
She’s had dressing off today and a few stitches out.
We need to ensure she doesn’t do too much to give her leg a chance to heal…
which we hope it will in time as she’s a little star and loved very much!

Quick update…Carli (now ending i to match all our other animals) is settling well and has been very good.
She’s got our rescued greyhound Addi for company and the three cats Ozi, Oli and Bili.
She loves to play football in the garden with the girls, has been quiet at night and very well behaved…
thank you to foster mum Tanya Bishop for giving her a great start :)

Hello Everyone! My name is Carly.
I am a beautiful friendly little girl and I am about 4 months old.
I behave very well with other dogs, children and cats. I am clean and quiet in my crate overnight and am a quick learner.
I am looking for a family to give me lots of love and cuddles x
Lots of love, Carly x x x

Jack is two years old and just fabulous.
He gets on very well with other dogs, loves people and is curious to meet Geoff his foster Dad’s horse.
The horse is not interested in meeting him and has been known to chase a over curious dog out of his paddock so Jack has not had the chance to discuss world matters with him.
He does however get to put the world to rights at the pub where Geoff and his cronies meet for an evening drink.
He is a favourite with all of them.

Hi Helen
We realised the other day that it has been some time since we’ve been in touch to update you on Paddy.
Well, all is going well and he was signed off by Tom for his leg about a month or so ago.
Since then we’ve had lots of lovely time together walking in the woods and forest, cuddles at home and (would you believe) paw massage from Mike!
We did however take him to the vet (locally) today due to what looked like some little pustules in his ‘nether regions’.
The vet discovered that stitches had been left in from when he was neutered and there was an infection as a result.
Indeed, he discovered that only one testicle had been removed.
I realise that Paddy was neutered before coming over from Ireland but thought I should just let you know.
Poor thing, it has been irritating him for a while and we thought at first he was just eager with his washing and attention in that area!!
The other day we discovered the source of his irritation.
We have some antibiotics for him now so it should clear up soon.
That said, Paddy has remained calm and such a lovely natured dog with his confidence growing gradually each day.
He went on his first holiday with us last week to the Isle of Wight! What a lovely time we had.
I’ve attached some photos for you (please share with Tanya or the DAWGS site if you wish).
All in all, we love him lots! Nina, Mike and Tobias

progress update on Cian (now Ozzie): 15/4/12

Hi
I’ve attached some pics of Ozzie as promised although the quality might not be great as camera on my phone is rubbish,
he’s a very good boy except for digging the occasional hole and running off with the odd shoe!
Overall he’s settled really well and is definately the kids dog as he follows them everywhere.
We start puppy classes next week as his recall is a bit sporadic when he either sees another dog or a bird but as he’s so intelligent I can’t see it taking long for him to figure it out.
We’ll probably take him on the charity walk so we may see you there,
it’ll be nice for him to see your dogs again.
I will send more as he grows. The one with the white nose in it is him meeting one of our horses who were more excited than he was!!

Lady aka Shady has just sent the following message…..
Just had a wonderful time on her holiday,
chased a pheasant,
paddled in the river,
and dug in a rabbit hole!
met my first cat and didn’t even glance at it..,
just had her jabs and is going to get spayed in two weeks,
having a wonderful time,
well done lady x

Shady and her mum Phoenix,
both foster doggys,
think mum looks a bit tired x

Shady has been to Shampoo and Setters for a hair cut.
When we looked at her after she arrived into the rescue we realised that her coat was full of matts and her paws were so badly matted she was walking on a lump of hair on each paw.
Only the tips of her claws were visible, poor Shady it must have been agony to walk.
Jacquie collected her within the hour when she heard how bad it was and took her off for a wash, clip and groom.
Thank you Jacquie!

Millie sunning herself in the garden and playing with the cat although she won’t share her ball.
progress update:
We’ve had Millie a couple of days now and she’s a lovely little girl.
She hasn’t learnt to use the cat flap yet but is clean none the less.
She loves playing ball but is learning that I won’t play tug of war with it and will only throw it again when she drops it.
Millie is fine with our cat even when the cat launches herself on Millie’s back trying to play with her.
She would make a wonderful companion in an adult home.

This is Millie who arrived last night.
She is about 4 years old and is speyed.
We went to the park this morning and met up with the usual suspects who she got on with once off the lead.
She loves chasing a ball but was a bit confused at first not knowing who to return it to!!
Millie has met our cat and ferrets and is fine with both.
Will update when I know her a bit better
