Lady
4/5 yrs old, this girl is so lovely, bless her, she was homed by the pound 2 1/2 years ago after being collected as a stray, and she is back, her owners this time dont want her back poor love, so she is now unloved and in the pound again !!
She seems fine with other dogs and walks nicely on the lead… Not sure if she has been spayed or not.
This girl has a hair lip.
Fizz
She is around 2 yrs old , and a very friendly girl, she is fine with other dogs out and bout, but can be a little grumpy when other dogs are around her when she is alone with you.. So I think best homed as the only dog.

someone.

Hi Helen
Kissie is a very sweet little girl and I’m sure will make someone a very loyal loving dog.
Today we went to Hengistbury Head and on the way back I let her off the lead for the first time.
Tomorrow we are off to the New Forest to see the ponies!
Speak soon

Jack has settled into his new home with the Tapner family who love him very much.
The cats are getting used to him but don’t love him yet!
This is a photo sent to us just after he had been clipped:

progress update from Jane: 13th May 09

My name is Jack and I’m a Westie Cross looking for a loving home.
I came to Helen’s from Ireland because my owner died.
At the moment I’m being fostered by Jane and Ozzie but I know I cannot stay here forever.
Ozzie tells me that there are lots of kind people who will love me.
I think I am about 6 years so I know how to behave.
Occasionally I do bark when I am excited about going on a walk but
apart from that I am quiet about the house.
I never make a sound at night and only wake when Jane does. Ozzie says that’s a good thing!!
Jane and Ozzie meet lots of different people with their dogs for walks
and I am very sociable. I like to say hello to other dogs and have a
sniff but I go back to Jane when she calls me.
Today we went to the New Forest where there were lots of ponies and their babies but even
the babies were bigger than me so I just ignored them.
Everybody says I’m very pretty although I would prefer it if they said handsome!
Cute is acceptable!!

Hi Helen
A few pictures for the website – Jack has just had a bath and looks gorgeous!
He’s a sweet natured little lad, very well behaved and just gets on with it all!
He discovered Harry Potter, the rabbit,
yesterday and had a good chase around the garden but nothing more!
Harry has a very good hiding place where no dog can get, no matter how
small they think they are!!
He’s very friendly with other dogs and gets on well with Ozzie.
Jack is good on the lead (a dog that doesn’t pull, not had one of those before!!).
We have let him off the lead and he comes to call.
All in all, a smashing little fella.Speak soon

We would like to say a big
to Alderholt Vet Surgery and their sister branch Three Cross Vet Surgery for the donation of £138.00 which was raised by holding a Pet Photo competition.
There were many entries and Helen who was asked to judge it had a tough job choosing the winning photos!
A big thank you to Vaughn, Val, Bernadette and Belinda from Alderholt branch

and Louisa, Laura and Louise from The Three Cross branch for organising this and thinking of us.
We would also like to thank them for the food donated to the rescue.

This is Mungo, a 2 year old collie mix that is fostering with Ann.
He has been kept in a barrel in a shed for the last two years.
He is timid but getting used to having freedom to move freely and getting to know the dogs at Ann’s house.
Ann is giving him space and time to find his feet.
progress update on Penny: 13th Sep 09
Dear Helen,
Here’s a few photos of Alfie (adopted two and a half years ago) and Penny (31st of July this year) playing.
She’s getting on well with Alfie and loves all her walks especially going through the woods.
Yours,
Paula, Colin, Charlotte and Victoria Watkins.

progress update on Marley! From the Snaddens!: 10th Aug 09

Hi Helen, Marley here,
I thought I’d let you know how I’ve been getting on in my new home.
I’m having great fun and get up to lots of mischief! I get lots of
love and care from my new owners!
I can’t wait till I’ve had my vaccinations so i can go out for walks
and a good run! I might meet some new friends while I’m out to!
My new Hobby at the moment is chewing my owners shoes! I have been
brought a lot of chewy toys to bite instead!
I’m very good at bedtime, I sleep all through the night with only one
bathroom trip! My owners know when I’m about to wake up because
apparently I make a snort noise like a little piglet!
One of my favourite parts of the day is meal times. I love my food!
But I’d have to say the best part is when I get hugs and kisses from
my family! Which is all through the day, so I’m very lucky!
I do miss my foster family and my siblings but my new family make me
feel as comfortable and loved as possible!
Thank you so much for taking care of me! I’ll never forget you and
hopefully see you again very soon! I hope you like the pictures!
Lots of love & licks,
Your friend forever,
Marley x x

Jess and Rolla have now been re-homed !!

progress update from Bonnie: 21st July 09
Hi Helen,
These are Jess and Rolla, they both greeted me with waggy tails and
lots of cuddles and there you go I fell in love straight away.
Jess has white on the tip of her nose with the most tan colour whereas
Rolla has white around the neck, they are ADORABLE..
They both love cuddles and want to play a lot.
Jess seems to be independent and Rolla loves the attention.
They are very happy and healthy and am sure it
wont be too long before they find loving homes.
I will keep you updated of their progress and thank you for letting us
share special moments with them.xx
