progress update: 8th Nov 2008

Hi Helen
Have attached some pics.
Oscar and Lottie are rarely seen apart, Lottie has slotted in to the family perfectly. The two of them play all day, rolling around in the garden, churning up the grass and knocking down any plants in their way. Oscar has grown a lot since the last picture as he now has trouble staying on his favourite footstool in the sun ! Lottie has taken over though and often jumps up in to Oscars place; he is such a gentleman that he lets her get away with it !
We are all really pleased that we decided to get Oscar a friend and Lottie seems to like it here too….we have a few small issues to resolve….she is often unwilling to come back when she is called and chooses to sit 20ft away and just stare at us despite the fact that I am waving treats at her ! Oscar is loving Lotties training though as he is receiving more treats than normal just for showing off his impecable behaviour !
I hope all is going well with you. I see that you have a new influx of dogs. I hope they find good homes soon.
Thanks for everything
Polly

REHOMED

Helen

Bobby is still being brilliant, loves people and loves other dogs, but unfortunately is currently being a typical 2 year old boy. When we are doing agility, he has serious problems maintaining his concentration, so we have yet done any outdoor shows. He has done one or two good rounds indoors so you can see the potential. I’ll just have to keep working till he grows up. |

We’re trying for KC Gold Good Citizen this summer (failed it last year as he declined to lie still for 2 minutes on cold

Izzie

Izzie has now found a home!

progress update: 21/6/13
Hi Helen.
Just an update on Izzie, she settled down very well, loves playing ball ,going for walks with my son,
also playing with the grandchildren who love her to bits, She sleeps all night until 6am ,
then gets one of us up to go outside, also she lets us know when it’s time for her food.
Thank you for letting us have Izzie,
She is the best dog because she doesn’t lose her hair as much as our last dog.
A big thanks to you once again.
Ian

Originally a DAWGdog but returned to the Rescue through no fault of her own.
Izzie is 4, a very affectionate girl.
Good with other dogs.
More information to follow once she has settled into her foster home with Ozzie and Taylor

Do you remember me, Max?
It is exactly 6 months since I came here.
I love it!
It took me quite a while to feel at home, after all I had been through.
But now life is good, and I feel so grateful the way you looked after me, and found me a new home.
John and Pauline are not so bad, and I think they really love me.
Say a special thank you to Pat who took me in when I didn’t have anyone.
Love
Max

Jack

REHOMED !

Jack is happily rehomed !

Hi Helen, what can I say!

Jack is a perfect dog for my family he has settled in very well.

When we first got jack he would bark at most things ( bikes, lorries e.t.c)  But now he has calmed down with his barking.

Jack really enjoys going out to hamworthy park running along the beach and going for walks in the woods.

Jack walks wonderful on his lead he always comes back when you call him.

He also loves other dogs balls ha ha!! My whole family really really love and adore him and couldnt image life without him.

Thank you very much a very happy dog owner Kelly Lampert x

Jimbo enjoying a long walk on the beach.
Jimbo is doing very well eating far better than he was and has put on weight.
His heart is steady much better than he was when he first came into the rescue.
Thank you to everyone who has donated money to the rescue over the last few months as you can see it has been well spent on Jimbo’s treatment.

progress update: 27/7/12

It has been discovered that Jimbo is unfortunately too unwell to be rehomed as he probably hasn’t got very long left to live,
so he has become a full-time resident of the Rescue and will live out his remaining days with his good friends Mutley, Spike and Pippin!
