Flo

“Here are some photos and an update of Flo, the blonde pup we adopted 3 weeks ago.

Flo is lovely and has settled in very well and is most definitely one of the family.

Although she was initially very timid and nervous of people she fell in love with our Goldie, Billy

and he has helped us to nurture Flo’s confidence so that she now loves a fuss
and settles each evening on the sofa with us or snuggles up to Billy.

She has started training classes, already does the sit, recalls most
of the time, and is getting to grips with leave and wait.

She absolutely loves her walks. She also loves to meet new doggie friends
and their human companions on walks.

She is a bundle of energy and we think she will love her holidays in the Lake District when she is older.

We love her very much and hope we can make her life fulfilling and fun.”

Best wishes

‘The Martins’
Helen, Andrew, Billy and Flo

Ps she is a real girlie and just loves shoes!!!!!

Yesterday Marie sent us this lovely photo of Lottie & Tinka at the beach !

Progress update 26th April

Just managed to get some more photos for you
The pups are coming on well – had the 2nd vaccination & love their walks.
Lottie learnt to open up not just internal doors but the front
door too! So that handle has been changed!
I have got them insured.
Attached are more photos for you.
Black one is Tinks – & just like her name!
Black & tan is Lottie.
The other dog in the photos is their
‘cousin’ approx same age!
12th April 2008
“The puppies are wonderful that we picked up yesterday.
Saw their first horse trotting up our road – what a big dog!
The black one we have named Tinka & the black & tan Lottie.
Our two older dogs are Tilly tri colour & Rosie black with a white patch.
We are delighted with them.
We will give you more of an update when we have a little more sleep!
The pictures attached were all taken yesterday
Thanks for everything
Luv
Marie

Sadie

progress update : Sadie has now been rehomed!

This is Sadie who is 7 months old,

she loves all two legged and four legged people apart from cats!

She is young and will need training, she would enjoy training classes.

She stayed with Claire for the weekend and was very well behaved.

Sadie went off the lead for the first time today and loved to chase the other dogs back and forth as they ran for balls!

Alfie

progress update : 19th May

Today Alfie has gone to his new home in Gillingham!

This is a Alfie,
Alfie is 18 months old and deaf, he has been trained to hand signals,

Having a deaf dog is not as difficult as people think but it always helps to have another companion dog that the deaf dog can take a cue from.

Max

“Just a quick update to let you know how Max one of the Irish pups is
getting on.

It wasnt as easy as we thought it would be, there was no
fighting but a little growling, however they are getting on fine now.
although Max does love Holly more than she loves him.

He is booked in for puppy classes this week and has had his second vaccination.

He never stops but he is a lovely dog who already sits and lies down and
he hasnt got a bad bone in him.

He has settled in well.

Thanks again for Max and we will keep you posted as he grows up
Thanks John and Hazel”

Jack

Jack has gone to live with Michelle near Wimborne.

He will have plenty of attention and company and lots of fields to run in!

Jack has settled in very well and is enjoying the country life.

He is a wonderful dog with a superb temperament and

I think I am very lucky to have him as my new friend.

Best Wishes
Michele

Tigger

progress update: 30th May

Tigger is now settling into his new home!

Tigger is a 12 week old terrier, he needs a home with another dog as he hates to be on his own.

He gets on with cats, the feral cat where he is fostered quickly taught him that chasing cats is not on.

As with any puppy he will need training and will soon be testing his new teeth out on the furniture.

Terriers are strong minded dogs and Tigger is very confident.

Sweeny

A spayed female collie approx 1yr

She loves nothing more in life than to sit as close as possible to you and spend hours being stroked.

She gets on with other dogs but is really a people person so
we are looking for a home where she can be the only dog and
have all the hugs to herself!

She is still timid with strangers and
takes a while to acquaint herself with new people.
As she has always been a country girl she is frightened of traffic
and it has to be said in her defence that cars are rather
noisy and smell!
She will need a kind, patient home where she can gain confidence.

She stayed with Claire this weekend to get her used to different people
and she was taken for long walks on the beach.

Progress update: 30th April

In Sweeney’s description we said that we felt she would be
better as an only dog because she likes all the cuddles.
But now that Sweeney has setled down and become used to being part of
a pack, we think that she would be fine with another dog.
She loves to play and chase the other dogs when on walks.

Her mother told her when young that all good Collies race ahead and crouch down
ready for the next movement and Sweeney has heeded her mother’s advice!

Sweeney is another dog that would be good for agility or flyball with
extra training.

progress update: 17th May

Sweeney is now settling in to her new home!

Cecil

Cecil arrived with a neck wound caused by the dog he used to live with.

Cecil has gone to his new home, his neck wound cleared up well.

Claire who helps walking the dogs took him home to foster him last weekend
and over the weekend managed to get the last of the matted hair away
from his wound.

When he came back to the rescue on Sunday eve the wound was clear and clean.

After a check by the vet we felt he was ready to go to his new life.

Cecil has settled well into his new home.
