Bubbles (on the right) has been with me for two a half weeks now,
and is settling in well both at home and in the office,
where she gets lots of attention from the people who pop in throughout the day.
She is getting on really well with Nellie (on the left),
who was also a DAWG dog this time last year!
Bubbles is slowly getting used to the outside world,
and has just about stopped shaking and panic barking at the sight of trees,
logs, gates, stumps, stones and so on!!
She is really enjoying two walks off the lead everyday, out in the countryside,
away from other people and dogs so she has a chance to get used to everything else first.
She is starting obedience classes soon, which will undoubtably involve a lot of noise on her part,
but will teach her how to deal with ‘strange’ dogs and should give her confidence.
She is delighting in playing with toys and all sorts of tiny things
(sticks, plastic, leaves, buttons and so on) she finds and gathers together in her bed.
All in all a wonderful little being who is doing fantastically well
– she’s even lost weight – already!
Thanks DAWG for being there when she needed you (twice now!) and for letting her come to live with Nels and I!

The wonderful Jack.
Extremely good with very young children and dogs.
He was rescued from a pound literally hours from receiving the needle of death.
He does need more training with his recall otherwise a lovely chap.

Keano LOVES playing fetch!
He’d keep going forever, if we let him he’s a very cuddly boy…
I’m always taking pics of him sleeping.
I’m sure all my fb friends are tired of me posting them all!
Haha he’s just such a lovely dog and I’m so happy and proud that he’s ours

Hi all, just a quick update on me, Evie.
I went to my forever home on Thursday just gone.
My new friend Jaz has made me feel very welcome and I love to play outside with her.
My new family tell me I am beautiful and very clever which I like a lot.
I had my first walk off the lead yesterday and was very good.
Still learning a few other things that are apparently unacceptable……
like jumping onto the kitchen work top to check for snacks and chewing laundry, but I’m a fast learner so hopefully will get on top of the “rules” soon.
Got some training classes coming up which sound like fun too.
Anyway, better leave it there.
My new family says to says “thanks” to DAWG Dogs for letting them have me. X

Oscar having a lot of fuss for the first time since he arrived to us.
Now, he knows a hand means lots of stroking he is a different dog.
We let him off the lead today with a long lead attached to him just in case he legged it but he kept with us and came back when called.
It was just the best thing to see him enjoying himself so much.
As you may be able to tell from this write up Helen has got rather attached to him but not enough to deny him a new home I hasten to add.
He has moved to Geoff’s house today because he is still barking a bit when he is left and Helen has to work on Tues and Wed and she is sure that Niki who looks after the dogs when she is at work would not appreciate a dog keeping her awake at night.
He has slept in Helen’s bedroom in a crate at night and since Friday has been getting used to being left with the other dogs but still needs a little more time to settle down.
He was dropped to Geoff’s house today and as this is typed is at the pub with Geoff meeting Geoff’s friends and their dogs.

Oscar is three years old and a West Highland Terrier.
He gets on well with other dogs, he is still settling in at the moment having only arrived yesterday.
More to follow once we have got to know him a little better.
