Oscar having a lot of fuss for the first time since he arrived to us.
Now, he knows a hand means lots of stroking he is a different dog.
We let him off the lead today with a long lead attached to him just in case he legged it but he kept with us and came back when called.
It was just the best thing to see him enjoying himself so much.

As you may be able to tell from this write up Helen has got rather attached to him but not enough to deny him a new home I hasten to add.
He has moved to Geoff’s house today because he is still barking a bit when he is left and Helen has to work on Tues and Wed and she is sure that Niki who looks after the dogs when she is at work would not appreciate a dog keeping her awake at night.
He has slept in Helen’s bedroom in a crate at night and since Friday has been getting used to being left with the other dogs but still needs a little more time to settle down.
He was dropped to Geoff’s house today and as this is typed is at the pub with Geoff meeting Geoff’s friends and their dogs.

Oscar 2
Oscar is three years old and a West Highland Terrier.
He gets on well with other dogs, he is still settling in at the moment having only arrived yesterday.
More to follow once we have got to know him a little better.

Jake

Jack has now found a home !!

Jake 3

Jake 2

Jake

Poor Jake came to us a week ago in a bit of a state, his hair was matted to the skin and he had hard lumps of mud embedded between all his pads. Every step would have been painful for him but apart from being a little nervous he is a gentle soul.
He was booked in for a shampoo and set and came back looking a different dog.
His coat was shaved off ( this had to be done to get all the matts out ) and he is pain free and cooler for it in this hot weather.
Jake has now gone to live with Audrey who had a dog from us a few years ago.

Angel is a deaf Collie that Fran her foster Mum adopted.
Here is Fran with Angel who was so tired after chasing Holly and the ball and just lay on the ground with her tongue hanging out

angel
This is Angel she is a young , deaf Collie.
Angel has the sweetest nature and loves to snuggle right into your neck.
She is frightened of having a lead on or anything being put over her neck – this is probably from being tied up.
In no time at all she will learn that a lead means a walk.
Fran her foster Mum has plenty of time to spend with her so she will be out on walks soon.
Angel is bright and intelligent and very gentle, she quickly learnt where the food was kept and flipped the lid off the food bin to have a look inside.
She is quite thin and has been underfed poor thing so lots of extra meals for her.
Deaf dogs are much easier to train than people think and being a Collie she will pick up sign language quickly.
A home with another dog could help as she will follow their lead.
More photos to follow as this does not show her beautiful looks so well.

Becky is the most lovely girl.
Quite dainty and such a sweet nature.
She already knows how to sit and walks beautifully on the lead.
She loves other dogs and everyone she meets out and about.
In her photos she always looks like a mature dog but she is only approx 14 weeks old.
Both Angela and I fell for her instantly and we both would have kept her if we had room for anymore dogs ourselves.
