Helen just a quick update on the terrible two.
As you can see they love the sun.
Here they are sitting on our new oak floor soaking up the rays.
They had their jabs this week as well.
They are both doing really well and have made many friends with all the
tradesmen who have worked on the project.
I will send another of Alfie that will melt your heart when you see it.
Regards, Les and Ibi Maros.
progress update: 8/4/12

Helen, just a quick note to let you know how Holly & Alfie are getting on.
They are both in very good health.
We had a scare with Alfie when he hoovered up a chicken bone accidently dropped on the floor.
We had a visit to the emergency vets with him on a Sunday with him, lucky he is insured.
Holly is still so very cute if not a bit highly strung.
Alfie is the soft dopey one who has developed a liking for lying on his back when I pick him up.
I have to hold him on his horizontally massaging his back.
It has to be seen to be believed.
We have all taken hundreds of photos of them of which I have sent you a few.
I see that you have a load more dogs up for adoption I hope you can find good homes for them.
Holly and Alfie have certainly made our life much richer, and anyway whats a lawn who needs one ?
Regards, Les & Ibi Maros.

She`s Fab….Its like we have had her years. Settled in so well. Very
very happy and so is she :0) x
(This is from Steve who Flo has gone to live with.)
progress update: 18/9/12

Hi Helen just though I would send you an update on Flo now I know her a little better,
she really is the sweetest natured little dog,
she loves everyone and does her best to please,
shes wonderful in the house, fantastic in the car, loves her walks,
and also likes to potter about in the garden, but most of all she
just wants cuddles and fuss, she really is a little treasure.
regards
Niki

Jess is a Yorkshire Terrier mix about two years old.
She is good with dogs but not cats or small furry animals.
More to follow as we get to know her.

Nellie in her new home with Staffy cross new best friend

Born 08/03/11
Nellie is spayed, microchipped and has up to date health check and
vaccinations. She has a healthy heart and has no health issues.
She eats twice a day once in the morning and once early evening.
She is a lovely, lively and energetic dog. She is not food orientated
but toys and play are her favourite. She will need some further
training as she is housetrained and will ‘go pee pee’ on command but
hates being left alone so if left for more than a couple of hours
alone may pee inside.
She is friendly and non aggressive, she adores children and other dogs
but may need some supervision on first introduction so she doesn’t get
too excited. She has a tendency as all boxers do to jump up to say
hello.
Her favourite treat is pigs ears, she loves water but is not a great
swimmer, long walks and an enclosed garden for her to run around in
would make her a very happy boxer.
She responds to sit, go down and bed but is not great at coming back
on a walk unless she is exhausted and then will come back for a toy.
She doesn’t like being on the lead if she knows that means she’s going
home. Her perfect world would to be outside all day with interaction.
She sleeps and rests in her own bed and knows not to get on the sofa (
don’t let her kid you she doesn’t). If the postman visits she has a
tendency if your not looking to eat the post, but usually she just
mouths it and will ‘leave it’ if you are home. She likes tummy rubs
and when relaxed sleeps upside down with her legs in the air with her
tongue out …..don’t worry this is normal.

Naughty Ted considering another potential break-out opportunity:

Naughty Ted welcoming suggestions at TedCon2012,
[ his hastily called informal conference debating ‘ How To Get High Enough To Clear The Fence Then Back In Again Later So One’s To-ings And Fro-ings Remain Undetected ‘ ]

progress update: 21/7/2012

Naughty Ted has now reverted to his old name of Terrible Ted after
getting into the paddock with Jeff’s horse Garth who would have if he had the chance flipped Ted out again like a rag doll.
Luckily, for Ted Jeff was on hand to flip him out in a more genteel manner.
Ted yesterday has surpassed his escaping and getting into trouble antics when he bashed the fence open between Jeff’s cats and no dogs and dogs garden and then he chased the cat round in Terrible Ted fashion !!
For those of you of a more delicate nature Ted is not for you.
Ted being all Terrier and adorable and perfectly behaved with dogs and in
the house is more of a challenge outside or around small furry creatures.
Now, this description may well not bring homes flooding in but we feel it better to be honest rather than waste people’s time.
Ted is your loveable rogue he could of been the dog protecting Nancy
in Charles Dickens Oliver Twist, he is brave of heart and all Terrier.
progress update: 24/6/2012

progress update: 11/4/2008
Ted has gone to live with Mr and Mrs Whitehead and their German shepherd.
He will have 5 acres to run his energy off and I’m sure that his new doggy companion will be very pleased when Ted is worn out at the end of a day.
Ted has boundless energy so worn out is not a word he understands !!!!
Ted is a neutered male terrier x approx 1-2yrs old
Very friendly and playful with people and other dogs

Jodie update: I have nothing but good things to say about this lovely lady!
My brother walked her today (as I have a poorly 3yr old today), she walked beautifully on the lead for him and he was even confident enough to let her off.
Her recall was good considering its the first time he has walked her.
In the house she is clean, quiet and very well mannered.
She is happy just to be near you and to lie at your feet.
The children can leave their toys lying around on the floor and she won’t touch them.
The cats are very confident around her and one of them has even taken to trying to share her bed at night!

Jodie is an older lady looking for a nice quiet home and lots of love.
She is a Terrier X and approx 8/9yrs of age.
Brilliant with other dogs and children, not remotely interested in the cats and barely paid any attention to the guinea pigs on the lawn!
I will update again once she has settled but so far a wonderfully sweet dog looking for a home to spoil her!

Just a quick update on this darling little dog, she grows in confidence every day,
she is clean in the house and as yet we haven’t heard her bark.
Nu nu loves her walks and is now spending a lot of her walk “off lead” where she is a little happier to greet other dogs.
Needs brushing every day which she seems to think is one big cuddle.
She is a very loyal little dog and would fit into any family with or without
other dogs
progress update: 22/8/12
NuNu went out for a long walk today (2hrs) and was a really good girl on the lead,
she met lots of dogs but just hid behind me till she has built her confidence,
she is getting on great with the three she is sharing a home with and just loves to be brushed,
will hop onto your lap at any time

Dear Aunty Helen, have settled well with my foster mummy although one
of her dogs is very scary, you know the little one with no hair.
I think she may be jealous as i have a beautiful coat which they have brushed and combed all day(how pretty do i look) and of course she is
hairless!
I ve been out for a walk a walked nicely on my harness and went a calling to have a beer.
I am overcoming my nerves and even ventured a little play.
Will let you know how i get on with the other two dogs when we have spent more time together.
nite nite xx
NuNu
Nu Nu is three years old, good with children and dogs.

Hi Helen
I know how busy you are but thought you might like a look a something different!
Spock and I are still ok – both of us are ‘hobbling’ more due to arthritis and Spock sleeps quite a lot now but always appears for food and walkies!!
I think he is doing very well for his age. We see Michele and Jack quite a lot but Spock is to old to play with Jack now but they love walking together – Jack in the lead with Michele.
How is Mutley now – I do look on your web site for updates to his diary. You are still doing amazing work and so glad you are their to rescue all those ‘mutts’. We may meet again sometime if you are this
way and you can see the old boy.
Have enclose a few pictures – one has Coco (my friends Choc lab) – Spock (the small one in the middle) and Jack – Coco lived with me for 7 months while my friend was having treatment for leukemia and Michele
and Jack were with us too for 3 months – all dogs got on really well but Coco and Jack are the same age so played and Spock acted as referee !!!
Kindest regards
Fran

Ruby arrived a week ago from a pound where she was about to be destroyed.
Ruby loves children, gets on very well with other dogs and is fantastic off the lead.
She loves a fuss but shies away from hands which leads me to believe she has been hit – poor Ruby she is so
gentle.
Ruby is a smaller dog about the same size as a Cocker Spaniel.
She is about two to three years old.
