Trinity

Trinity has now found a home !!

photo

To add to this Yvonne phoned me this evening because she just had to tell someone…….
Trinity got really excited about going for a walk with Dottie and had a marvelous time at Hengistbury Head .
Trinity’s legs still give out due to her extra weight but is improving fast and booked in for her second visit to Andy her vet .
Trinity has a home pending home check which Helen and Mark will do .
She is going to live on Brownsea Island .

She loves finding and playing with a ball in spite of her poorly legs she is always waiting for me in the mornings and her fore legs are healing very well she is very laid back and loving girl she has good days and bad days with her walks

Trinity was homed by us four years ago to a lovely retired chap who had adopted a DAWGdog many years before.
Unfortunately, Trinity’s man has become very frail and he realised he could no longer care for her and we have had to take her back.
This broke his heart as he loved her very much as did all his family and grandchildren.
She has put on a huge amount of wweight due to too many extra titbits and no walking in recent months.
Trinity is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier who is a very gentle soul.
She loves dogs and in particular small children who just light up her life.
She has played for hours today with Yvonne’s ( her foster Mum) young grandson fetching ball for him which both of them loved.
When Trinity arrived to us four years ago she had a weak back leg which was thought due to some mean person ( I would like to call them something else !! ) kicking her .
She is ok with this leg as long as she can pace herself on her walks.

Hi Helen just a quick progress report on the gorgeous little chap Bossik we have fostering with us at the moment
since his arrival hes settled in extremely well,
he has made firm friends with my other dogs especially Tilly with whom he spends most of his time playing with,
he is clean and quiet in the house and settles happily in his crate throughout the night.

Bossik enjoyed his first walk with us this morning he travelled very nicely in the car and thoroughly enjoyed
meeting a variety of dogs and people along the way,
he really is a wonderful little chap with a super nature who would bring a huge amount of enjoyment to any household, he really is delightful.
regards
Niki

Scrappy and Boo Boo

Scrappy and Boo Boo have now found homes !!

progress update: 30/10/13

Boo boo and Scrappy are Shiatsu cross Jack Russel who are an absolute delight.
They get on well with everyone including Jackie and Bob’s cat.
Only 7 months old so still puppies.
We’ve had them a couple of weeks now and they are delightful dogs.
They have both been neutered and have recovered well.
We’ve had an extra 2 doggie house guests arrive and they have made friends with no problems, even playing with them and this is unusual for Millie who is a bit reserved.
See the video for an example of this.

They do not need to be rehomed together as they are only young.
They love being picked up and cuddled and just lay there lapping up all the attention.

Jessie

Jessie has now found a home !!

Jessie

Jess is a 4 yr old Parsons type Jack Russell clean and quiet at night,
good in the car, very playful,
learning recall off her lead,
not suitable for small children or furries but otherwise a sweet
affectionate dog who will make a wonderful loyal companion for someone.

Bubbles (a.k.a IrresistaBubble)

REHOMED !!

progress update: 2/10/13

Bubbles

Bubbles (on the right) has been with me for two a half weeks now,
and is settling in well both at home and in the office,
where she gets lots of attention from the people who pop in throughout the day.
She is getting on really well with Nellie (on the left),
who was also a DAWG dog this time last year!

Bubbles is slowly getting used to the outside world,
and has just about stopped shaking and panic barking at the sight of trees,
logs, gates, stumps, stones and so on!!
She is really enjoying two walks off the lead everyday, out in the countryside,
away from other people and dogs so she has a chance to get used to everything else first.

She is starting obedience classes soon, which will undoubtably involve a lot of noise on her part,
but will teach her how to deal with ‘strange’ dogs and should give her confidence.
She is delighting in playing with toys and all sorts of tiny things
(sticks, plastic, leaves, buttons and so on) she finds and gathers together in her bed.

All in all a wonderful little being who is doing fantastically well
– she’s even lost weight – already!
Thanks DAWG for being there when she needed you (twice now!) and for letting her come to live with Nels and I!

The wonderful Jack.
Extremely good with very young children and dogs.
He was rescued from a pound literally hours from receiving the needle of death.
He does need more training with his recall otherwise a lovely chap.
