Merry Christmas to Helen, Pat, and all our friends at DAWG.
Buster & Lucky x

Hi Helen
I am attaching a couple of photos of Lucky.
He has settled in very well with us and is an absolute darling.
A shining example for Buster – he comes when called on walks,
he is quiet and does not try to steal other dogs’ food.
He really loves cuddles and nudges us with his paw or nose if we stop stroking him and he wants more.

We are the lucky ones to have him in our lives.

Lucky has settled in very well and is a lovely little boy. After a
couple of nights on the sofa (he has ignored the dog bed that we put
down for him), he has discovered the delights of sharing the bed with
Buster and us. It can get a little crowded!

Having kept him on an extended lead for walks for the first two days,
we tried him off the lead today and he has been perfect. He is still
just a little reserved with Roger, although as you can see on one of
the photos, he does not mind curling up to him, and enjoys Roger
combing him in the evening. At the moment though, he seems to come to
me more, but I expect this will change soon, especially as Roger is
the one at home all the time.

Buster took one sniff at him when we got home on Wednesday, decided
that he had nothing to worry about, and they get on perfectly well.

Roger and I already love him to bits.

We’ll send you photos from time to time.

Best regards.

Veronique

Lucky went off to live with Roger and Veronique today.
Lucky was happy to get in their car and munch on gravy bones all the way to his new home:

Hello! My name is Lucky, and I come from Ireland. Today I adopted
Roger, Véronique & Buster. They were going to wait until the autumn to
look for another dog, but they could not resist me. I am small
(Buster’s height), quiet, gentle & I love cuddles. I have already made
myself at comfortable on the sofa :-)

Lucky is a smaller dog than he looks in the photos, he is Cocker Spaniel size.

To all those who have known “Bellers” then this photo may come as a surprise!!!
She is actually letting our new foster dog share her space!!
We got Bellers from DAWG a year ago , how time flies x,
Lucky is looking for his forever home.

Dear Aunty Helen, we arrived safely this morning and didn’t seem to fazed by our journey,
we have been for a short walk and walked well on our leads.
Had breakfast and Lucky is having cuddles and a little nap whilst Honey is up for a game and is playing with toys and her new BFF Diggery who loves having young fosters in to play with x
All in all these are two delightful dogs x

  2. What can i say, this boy has been with us a week now and what a tranformation,I thought we had an older dog looking for his retirement home,he was anxious and unsure but in this short period of time he has shown us a happy friendly dog who is spritely and enjoyes long walks, quick to learn brilliant recall today was his first day of his lead and he behaved impeccably, he greeted everyone he saw with a wagging tail and a smile, gets on extremely well with all dogs.would make a great family pet
