New Forest dog illness update

Mystery Illness Update

There has been another death from the mystery illness.

A dog has had to be euthanised after falling ill, he had a lesion on his leg and the blood tests

initially showed no problems with his kidneys.

Sadly, a few days later he was very sick and this was the start of the renal failure.

He had been walked around the Holmsley area.

Anderson Moores have published an information sheet for dog owners regarding the mystery illness.

Thank you Webster’s and Zoukinis!

DAWGdogs would like to thank Webster’s doggie delights for the delicious treat bags given to the rescue dogs at Christmas.
Scamp liked them so much he raided everyone else’s bags and scoffed eight of the doggy paw shaped treats !!
Shame on you Scamp…….

Thank you also to Kelly at Zoukinis restaurant in Westbourne for the money raised from the coffee morning and raffle and to everyone who donated raffle prizes.

Mystery Dog Deaths in New Forest : NFDOG update

Mystery Dog Deaths

There has been a possible new case of the mystery illness causing dog deaths in the forest.
After hearing a rumour of a dog dying 48 hours after being walked in Wilverley Enclosure,
NFDOG called Anderson Moores specialist vets who confirmed that there had been a new case, but would not give any more details.
So at the moment we are unsure if the location is true.
But we felt that we should remind you to be extra vigilant in checking over your dogs and you should take your dog to your vets immediately, if you notice any lesions or sores on their body.
We will update you as and when we have more information.
