Bess (a.k.a Dottie)

NOW REHOMED !!

Hi Helen, Thought I’d update you on Bess (Dottie) who has been with us for 15months.
When we first had her Bess was very nervous, especially scared of men, but she has slowly gained confidence with the help of male family & friends.
Bess is gradually overcoming her fear of sudden loud noises & enjoys her walks in the parks & relaxing in the garden

Pippin ( a.k.a Worzel )

REHOMED

progress update: 10/03/2015

Dear Helen,
I have been so busy I have not had time to write. After the problem with the obedience class, Susanne finally found somewhere for the agility. It was run by the same people do did the obedience but it was, of course, outside. I enjoyed it big time and so many other dogs to become acquainted with. One day Mrs SHG became acquainted with someone’s car, and she decided not to go again…
Landrover nil damage, 8 month old mini £1500, she said “it was not her finest hour” but I knew she was thinking about other things and did not hear all the noise from the bleepers.
Then they went on holiday and I went to somewhere I really liked for a few weeks, it was so good, I ALMOST wanted to stay, but then I realised the other dogs also had to have fuss and love and with my owners it is just me, me me, who is spoilt. I like that. When I go to sleep my tongue hangs out and that always makes them laugh, and she says “ I do love that dog”. I am glad she does because I have now decided I love them too. It is not yet possible for me to be good all the time but I am thinking about it. People are always saying how much better I am, and what a beautiful coat I have.
She now takes me to agility at Tollard Royal which is quite a long way to go. On Mondays it is a class with other beginners and then on Thursday it is just the two of us. The person who trains us is called Ali so Susanne calls her, Aligility. Mrs SHG asks about my progress which is good, because I so enjoy it, but hers is still not so good. It is a shame she is so hopeless but I know she tries very hard. I have not been there for a couple of weeks because I have had an achy leg. We had to see a man we have met when we have been out, but this time he was wearing a green jacket and pulled my leg. He was very gentle so I just licked him. You remember how much I loved licking people, well I haven’t stopped.
Last week my best pal Buster came to stay for a few nights. I have done a sleepover at his house for one night. In case they had forgotten, I had a bark at 12.0 o clock to remind them I was there, and Buster did the same thing when he came here. He had a new bed and I found it VERY comfortable, and he liked both of my beds.
If you have time please could you tell me where you are going to be, and I may come to see you. Mrs SHG thought you might be able to use a couple of my old beds, she said they are not pristine, but would tide someone over. I would like to see you, to show you how handsome I am now, and to give you some licks as a thank you for letting me go to them.

Love Pippin….a.k.a. Worzel

Tilly Mae

REHOMED !!

progress update: 7/3/2015

Here is the beautiful Tilly Mae (aka Tilly) she got her soubriquet because it was a case of Tilly may do it/Tilly may not!
However, she has been with us 10 months (can’t believe it), there have been times when she has reduced me to tears, she barked at everyone, every dog that she met on a lead, anything that past the gate, in fact she just indulged herself with barking.
But now, her barking is intermittent, she gets a little forgetful of her manners.
Has made so many doggy and human friends, and knows how to wheedle her way round them.
She is as bright as a button, adores Bengy our Pound Puppy, she no longer runs away, coming back when she feels like it.
She does still run, but in circles and if I need to call her she is back before Bengy.
I hope Helen and Yvonne, should you see her again, you will notice how much better her manners are…just don’t play pine cones with her, you’ll regret it!

Rosie ( a.k.a Dudana )

REHOMED!

progress update: 03/03/2015

We have had Rosie for just over a year.
She came to us from Bulgaria having been taken into shelter with her mum & siblings, so coming into our home couldn’t have been more different to her previous life.
We’re not sure how old she is but think she’s about 4 years now.
I took her to basic training classes & she quickly learnt how to ‘sit’ etc. She really has settled into home life incredibly well & gained her confidence in day to day routines.
She follows me round everywhere, she’s very loving & she makes us laugh with her funny little ways grin emoticon We call her nosey Rosie, always poking her nose into something!
She seems to love standing on her 2 hind legs with us holding her front paws, perhaps she just loves dancing, haha!
Always grateful to Dawg for giving her a chance & bringing her to us

Nella

Nella has now found a home !!

Nella was in a dog pound and had done her 7 days as a stray.
Nella is a home body wanting nothing more than to be with you.
She has met a 7 year old child who she loved, has walked past cats and loves the company of other dogs.
This morning she went off the lead for the first time and came immediately when called – always a relief when I first take a chance and let a new dog off lead

Stig

Stig has now found a home !!

This is Stig ( what a great name ) he is the son of Fudge and a Beagle cross Spaniel.
Stig is four years old and once he has overcome his initial nervousness with new dogs is all wagging tail.
He is also good with children.
Stig needs to lose a few pounds and is on a diet much to his dismay……

Tiffany the lurcher

progress update: 01/02/2015

Tiffany has now found a home !!

A dazzling, blonde bombshell has arrived at the Rescue !
Pippin has take her to her straight away and Spike gave her the look over with his eyes ( made his old ticker beat faster )
Holly is doing her hair and make up so as to not be outdone by this stunner.

Tiiffany is three years old doesn’t wear fur coats apart from her own nor diamonds and doesn’t breakfast at a famous jewellers.
She is very good with young children and other dogs.
She is feeling a bit amiss having just been left here by her previous family. I am sure she will feel more settled by tomorrow.
In a little while a Poodle and a Poodle cross Pomeranian will be arriving so lots of fancy company for her.

I am sure Stephanie our DAWGdogs photographer will taking a full portfolio of photographs which will be better than this one.
