Hi, I am Beano and quite delightful.
I love dogs and all people I have been at the rescue for several weeks and no-one here can understand why as I am so good.
I am quiet when left, well behaved and clean in the house.
I also know how to behave when taken to the allotment as you can see from my photos.

Beano enjoying sitting in the sun at the allotment.
He is a year old Jack Russel, gets on with other dogs and a delightful dog

Jess has now found a home !!

progress update: 16/5/11
This week a 6 year old child came to Jeff’s house to visit and we got on famously. She spent a whole hour cuddling me and throwing the ball.
I fetched it to amuse her but to be honest it was a bit boring but hey you have to amuse the little ones.
I am enjoying myself here at Jeff’s home but would like my own home now and Jeff is getting attached to me, he has several dogs already so can’t keep me.

Hi, my name is Jess and for the last two years I have lived in a shed on a farm.
I was kept there because I didn’t like the working life and this annoyed the farmer. Life was very boring for an intelligent dog like me –
I am a Kelpie cross you know and we are known for our outstanding intelligence so a home that will provide the Times crossword for me to do would suit me well.
Jeff my foster Dad listens to Radio 4 and this keeps me up to speed with world affairs and I also get taken to the pub to enjoy putting the world to rights with him and his cronies.
Jeff has four other dogs and they are all well read so I get on with them extremely well.
I love the sunny days we are enjoying it is such a treat to be out in the fresh air at last.
I like to sunbathe in his garden and if I am feeling frivolous I race around with the dogs for a bit of exercise.

Mouse is about 12-13 weeks old,
has a lovely sweet nature, she is pretty much clean in the house,
she is also crate trained, has fantastic offlead recall,
goes through the night and is good as gold in the car

progress update: 21/4/11

Hi Helen, just a quick update on Mouse now we’ve had her a while, when she first arrived Mouse was quite shy and reserved but it didnt take her long to feel at home, shes happy in the company of my other dogs and my children, she pretty much clean in the house with only one accident so far which is great considering her young age, she is also happy to take herself off into her crate to sleep, we also left her for a short while today with no problems.

Yesterday we went for a walk down to the river where she met lots of dogs and people, she took it all in her stride, this morning we went to Queens Park Golf Course where I let her off lead and she behaved fantastically, she is as good as gold in the car, in the house and we had a brilliant night as she slept right through, we are really enjoying looking after this little girl shes a real sweetheart.

regards
Niki

Here are a couple of pictures of Jagger and Chrissie.
They are the best of friends, even if Jagger sits on Chrissie at breakfast time (it’s to keep his bottom warm!)
I often look at your website, and notice that you get some lovely dogs.
Bye for now Helen.
Sue, Dave, Chrissie and Jagger xxxx

progress update 14/8/10

I have been with my new mum and dad for 5 weeks now, and i am having a great time, with my new friend Chrissie the border collie. She also comes from Helen’s. My name is jagger by the way. I was called jake, but my new mum and dad thought jagger suited me better.
I can run rings around Chrissie, but she puts up with me, and is nice to snuggle up to, when i get tired, which isen’t very often!
Before I came here i was with my foster dad Dave who nursed me back to health, because i had a nasty bout of kennel cough that i caught in ireland, with a temperature of 102 ! As you can see i am fine now and enjoying life so much. I have made several new doggy friends that i like to run and play with. I go swimming in the river, while Chrissie paddles, but i am looking forward to going to the beach.
I shall always be grateful to auntie Helen for bringing me over from ireland. life is good here.
Love jagger and Chrissie.

progress update from Dave: 29/6/10

We still havent heard him bark! For a jack russell is this amazing
All he wants to do is sit on your lap or beside you on sofa sleeping.
Jake is eating and drinking well. He loves the few toys we got for him, jake goes mad for a ball.
He has a huge amount of energy when he is playing in the garden.

Jake does not know any commands!! So will need a lot of training but I am sure he will excel in treat training.
We can already tell he will not like to be left alone and loves human contact.
He is a true character who wants to play with his toys and then snuggle up on the sofa when he has tired his owner out!!
While out walking we have met other dogs which he has shown no aggression to or any interest in them!
He does walk well on the lead.

Thiis is Jake who came from Ireland a fortnight ago

Mutley’s Bonio Pension Plan

28/4/10

Since Helen obviously hasn’t realised that wiki-Mutley-leaks is now helping keep you all informed about The Truth About Jackson, we’ve time for the latest update:
It has taken Helen less time than we expected for more potential excuses as to why Jackson has not been rehomed to emerge. Apparently Mutley ‘is not as young as he used to be’ and his capabilities as Rescue Security and Helen’s Personal Bodyguard are ‘not going to last forever and soon a younger dog may be needed to be added to her pack’. We all know which dog is being lined up for that one. Mutley has somewhat taken affront to this premature PR-exercise in pensioning him off and has hit back with his new scheme of Mutley’s Bonio Pensions Plan.

And now an ad from our sponsor:

“All dogs, pups or mature, need to think about their retirement. Mutley’s Bonio Pension Plan is for you. Simply choose how many Bonios per month you would like to invest in Mutley’s Bonio Pension Plan and you can look forward to him using his Obsessive Expert Bonio Knowledge to invest your Bonios in the best possible way to ensure the maximum possible number of Bonios for him you in later years. Free Parker Pen with your first investment of 1000 Bonios.

Best if you don’t read this small print:
Past performance is not necessarily a guide to future performance.
The value of your Bonio investments can go down as well as up, and you may not get back the amount of Bonios which you invested.
Mutley’s Bonio Pension Plan is regulated by the IFA.
The IFA (Interesting Food Aquisitions) is regulated by Mutley himself.
This is to avoid any awkward questions in later years such as ‘Where have all the investor’s Bonios gone?”
